Transparency was the problem.

Text should be already transparent on its own. Outside of that you need to find resources that are already in PNG format without the background. Otherwise you will need to do it yourself and paint.net most def is not the program to use for that as you waste a lot of time due to the lack of tools it has for background removal.

Paintshop Pro is actually decent and less of a hassle to use than Photoshop, though photoshop is an industry standard but I hate how adobe went to the subscription type of plans for the newer versions. Where Paintshop Pro you can still buy it standalone from the site. Not cheap, but its good for graphical work.

The banner for the yakuza zero, its already an image with a transparent background in png format that just has a layer of text aligned then flattened and saved in png format necessary for background transparency.

Nothing special is really done to it outside of using the center horizontal and vertical tool not sure if that was a plugin or not.

It took a while to find a free for use brushstroke png that fit the theme. Which is generally the case when trying to do more custom work.

You should look in the offtopic section for graphical editing info or make a post as for the most part graphics GAF are quite helpful. Though be fairly precise in what you want to ask.

Thats about all i have to say on the issue as dont want to nake the thread more of a chore for nem to sift through as is come update time lol.

Yeah, I'd see it as a be-all, end-all. Like when there's a million type faces on a screenshot to why the diegetic UI of Dead Space is loved, but the tattoo hearts of Trespasser are not.

I'll make my first attempt with an OT in August, but I've done some image editing in my days, I know how to edit most transparent PNG images to something nice. Still, I'll try to make my OTs clear and with a lot of interesting info instead of flashy images.

Dont forget the PS3 1&2 HD version also.

If you are happy with what you did and it fits your theme go for it.

Not sure if you want to count the companion apps on the Vita as something separate too for Ishin and 0.

Also for the "Ishin" leave off the Kenzan part. As its not part of the title.

Oh yeah and the title some fans that want to forget which is Dead Souls lol on the PS3.

Lots of different styles with OTs. As long as it has relevant information thats all that matters really. Graphics and whatnots are just extras for the most part.

Yeah its pretty much official now and up to the community to enforce, since the mods hate having to step in.

Its quite a while back in the thread where it became a new thing due to too many stupid claims being thrown out.

Yeah the ones that were already up there dont think Nem will remove. Esp if the people behind the claims are still serious about doing them. Since we had some other folks who like didnt do their claims with OTs. But for the most part you guys should not have anything to worry about Id like to say.

I think he only removed like unreasonable / insane type of stuff for things that were not even announced at all lol.

Neoxon posted a list in here awhile back about what OTs he plans on doing with you. I think as long as you put your name down (1 year out) you should be good.

You can claim OTs for everything here. Games or off-topic stuff like movies. OTs need to be claimed because you need to organize their creation around release dates usually and avoid multiple people making the same thing at the same time.
