Why would you do that.
(I'm just happy for the HBAO confirmation, the AO in much of the existing media for the game looked wonky)
I believe it's HBAO+ too, so that's good for all of us.

One of them said "well over 60 FPS"
Are you fucking serious CDPR?

Well, good luck with that.I hope it was really well over 60fps, cause Nvidia Hairworks, Anti-aliasing, Sharpening and Light Shafts were turned off, and SSAO was used instead of HBAO+
I would have expected all those effects on for Ultra preset, i hope the game still mantains 60fps with these stuff turned on with a GTX 980
Well, good luck with that.
(I'd find it disappointing if the maximum presets were so low as to achieve 60 FPS on a single card at launch)

If anything u should be wishing that a 980 could do even more than this.
I never understood this. The right argument would be to say that u wish the graphics looked a lot better than they do but you already know what the game looks like so to say that your disappointed that a single card can run it makes no sense. If anything u should be wishing that a 980 could do even more than this. I'm sure there will be much better looking games in the future and I for one hope my 980 can handle those better looking games as well

I agree with the disappointment about lowered graphical effects. Uber mode on The Witcher 2 was brutal at the time. There should be similar Ultra settings that basically require SLI Titan Xs to get 60fps with.
Been a while since I had a good rig, what program do you use to watch FPS ? Is FRAPS stil the way to go ?

I wonder if a dedicated physx card would make a difference for this game. I was thinking of picking up a 750ti just for that but gonna wait it out to see if there are any actual benefits.
But honestly, I'm pretty sure i'll be able to run everything on ultra at 1080/30 with my 780.....i hope.
How do we expect this to run with 970's in SLI not oc'd with a 2500k oc'd to 4.3?

Good to know when I use steam for games. I avoid them when I can for better customer support but it's nice to know the option is thereSteam has an fps counter.
Ah yes I just found it thanksIf you have an nVidia card, you don't need to download any extra software. Just toggle Show FPS Counter in GeForce experience.
He is saying he wished it pushed graphics furthur forward. Like Crysis, where the Hardware had to grow into the software. Future proof, and ages in reverse, looking better as better hardware releases.
Makes perfect sense. PC gamers like tech to advance as fast as possible, and to do so, software has to push hardware. Otherwise there is no motivation to push tech.
This bit from the manuel made me laugh.
Poor AMD.
Also a bit about importing saves.
60 fps. AlwaysI guess I have to test and decide between
1080p Ultra 60fps
or
4k High >30fps.
My monitor has a good scaler, so might go wit the 1080p option.
GTX660 SLI and a 2500k @ 4.5.
Really depended on VRAM usage so I might turn a couple settings down or opt for 30FPS.
there are pages upon pages of people asking these questions. The game isn't out yet..... but come on , two 970s are going to perform very well in any game.....you wouldn't have chosen to spend $700 on them if you didn't know that.
I wish it would let you import but still change a few things. I killed Letho but I'm thinking maybe I should have let him live.
Yeah true, I just want all the bells and whistles including hairworks.
Isn't there a conversation you can have in the game to just re-select choices anyway? I lost my TW2 save ages ago and am hoping that this will suffice. Don't want to replay the game before the sequel launches either as I know I'll get fatigued. Especially if the new one is 100 hours for everything as suggested.
Who doesn't? I have two 970s and play at 2560x1600 but I'd be upset if I'm able to completely max the game with them. That would mean that the game isn't very forward thinking when it comes to the engine / graphical effects. I want the game to have things that I won't be able to use now but may be able to at high framerates with my next generation of gpu(s). I want something that gives owners of Titan X SLI setups a reason to have their cards....... that's one of the points of PC gaming in my opinion.... ultimate scale-ability.
Don't worry, hairworks will probably bring it all to the ground for you.
Although another gaffer reassured me about it being different to fc4 and remade for tw3 or something, I'm still hella skeptical after fc4 performance.
I wonder what even actually works on the Nvidia effects side or if they'll just include a bunch of broken, unplayable effects because it's been marketed.
