How likely is the uncharted collection?

Is a lock. Multi-disc. $60.
(Or a low, low price of only $80 here in Canada)

Likely part of a 1TB hardware bundle. Announced at E3, for fall release.

Thinks buying more servers can fix a bad patch
I just cannot really see it happening.

Naughty dog will not have the manpower. It took them "forever" to do one game (Last of Us)

And I am certain they would not give out their "baby" to an external developer where they cannot assure the quality of the port.

It will just takes a couple of guys to do that, according to many people here. Not a very hard thing to do

Which area from the trilogy is that in the cover?

Judging by Drake's outfit, it's somewhere in Uncharted 3 - most likely Iram, i.e. the Atlantis of the Sands.

As for a remastered trilogy, I absolutely want to see this released. It's right at the top of my 'remaster' wish-list.

Hell nah... Hec, they should include Golden Abyss for the uninitiated.

Ew, no. Awful games like that do not deserve remasters.

The architecture is Buddhist so it's more likely to be an Uncharted 2 concept. Either that or a concept for a location that never made it into 1 or 3.

Considering their track record I think ND will be fine letting Bluepoint handle the remasters.

bish gets all the credit :)
I'm sure they'll do each game individually and charge $40 each. That seems to be the thing now. Value? Pshhh.

You could be right, but, the artwork depicts Drake in clothing similar to his Uncharted 3 outfit (which he wears from chapter 16 onwards):

Considering how much people on this website talk about a collection, Sony/Naughty Dog must feel pretty stupid if they weren't making it.

I'm betting it's the project Bluepoint has been hiring for. I think it will be revealed at E3. Obviously there is no way to know for certain but it makes too much sense for Sony for it not to be likely. Just my $0.02 anyways.

Not likely. They already had to delay U4 due to needing more time, developing another game on top of that isn't too likely to happen. Unless they outsource. I wouldn't want a non-Bluepoint HD Collection.

I dunno, seems like a lot of work and they actually care about the quality. Maybe Last of Us helps move things along faster by learning from that experience but if Naughty Dog aren't doing it that may not apply.

I think another developer is probably is doing the port. I bet it will be a 1080p up res but no 60FPS. However they may update models so the cutscenes will be in game instead of videos to save Blu Ray space. I also don't expect Multiplayer but exclusive early access to Uncharted 4 Multiplayer Beta.

Oft hope is born when all is forlorn.
I believe its likely. But they will just up the resolution and fps. Beside U2 i have no interest in playing other two. But I would still grab it just for U4 anticipation.

It's a cheap dev cost for great sales and rising hype for the sequel. So very likely, but I wonder how far they'll go into a remaster ? just 1080p@60fps or more ?

I'd say an announcement at E3 with Bluepoint developing is very likely. We never found out what that unknown project of theirs was did we?

...hate me...
I can see them doing a single multi for a trilogy remaster. Why fragment the community right.

You guys reckon they can retrofit the more refined gameplay into Uncharted 1? What about all 3 games sharing the same graphics and game engine?

I feel like 3 full Uncharted games months before a 4th would tire people out, assuming U4 is an April release. If it was a lowkey release like HD collections were last-gen it'd be fine, but if it's a big marquee title for the holiday (which it probably won't be, cuz NMS) then it'll be a bit weird. I would expect Sony's marketing team to handle that with finesse though.

Wasn't there a leak from a French retailer who listed the UC Triology Remastered in their catalogue with picture of the box art?

Going to guess likely, but maybe not anytime soon.

That said, the games look and play fine on PS3 as it is. Golden Abyss is great on Vita as well.

Very I'd think. Probably part of the reason Sony said they're not worried about their Holliday lineup.

That didn't stop God of War 3 from being the best selling title in the series.

95% sure we'll get an E3 annoncement. All 3 games for 60$ and/or each game for about 25$.

That's the price point I would have predicted before they announced GOW3 remastered for 40 bucks. That's a 5 year old game that already had stellar image quality and a framerate averaging above 30 (meaning the remaster isn't even going to be as significant an improvement as they usually are). I don't see how they can release the whole UC trilogy for $60, but I do believe these remasters are coming nonetheless.
