If you guys could have one old school Playstation IP (PS1-era) revived for E3 this year, what would you choose? MediEvil, PaRappa, Ape Escape, Vib Ribbon, stuff like that.
I'd go with Jumping Flash!...
VR-compatible or not, I think it's a franchise that would work immensely well this gen. First-person platforming is still a rarity, and the PS4 needs a technicolour, family-friendly slice of Japanese madness to offer the world. Plus the controls would actually be good this time.

Sony is doing PGW instead of Gamescom, they usually have big reveals at Gamescom, so you know they are going to have some big things to there as well. Also PGW is the second largest gaming expo in the world, it isn't just FIFA/COD/AC.

I actually have a hard time thinking of anything, my favorite Ps1 Games like Tekken are still around and Twisted Metal also got a Ps3 game, though i doubt we will see another one anytime soon. Maybe something like Cool Boarders? Or Wild Arms. I have never played a Wild Arms Game, but Wild West JRPG sounds like the coolest thing ever.
When it comes to the Five Stages of GAF, everyone here is already on the last step. They've accepted they're going to be disappointed a long time ago.

With Rock Band and Guitar Hero back, and a new Amplitude coming to PS4, I'm really hoping Sony tries to do sequels to Vib Ribbon and PaRappa, make them digital games and take the chance on them.
A new Ape Escape would be a lot of fun, even if it was an HD remake of the original game sort of like what they're doing with Ratchet and Clank, to test the waters and see if a major new release would be viable. Yooka-Laylee proved the 3D platformer isn't dead, Sony had some of the best during the PS1 and PS2 days. I hope they make a return in some form.

Acceptance.
First comes hype, then comes a sense of betrayal, then comes furious anger, then comes unreasonable sadness, and then comes humble acceptance. It's fitting really. A stage for each month heading into E3. In a way, June might open up a sixth and final stage. Like the hidden boss we never see coming. But that messes with the five stages. You can't call it the Five Stages of GAF, if there are six stages.
