Yeah, ok! That gif convinced me! The lighting is waaaay better then the previous games!
Who wants on the Hype Train?

Yep, lets have every game be as graphically intensive as The Order, Killzone Shadow-fall and the like. Those games were great, right?
It's not like games with graphics at about fallout 4's level could possibly be fun. I mean, look at Bloodbourne. Trash.
no Obsidian saddens me. i'll wait for a competent developer to get their hands on it.
Also can we please get a fallout 1/2 caliber soundtrack?
I just hope the melee combat gets a huge overhaul. Holy shit it was bad.
Disjointed, inconsistent visual themes, heavy handed metaphor, lacking any moral overtones.
Pisspoor excuse for a fallout trailer. I am expecting even worse than the lackluster effort from three.
Lmao no. There is no engine that can do what Gamebryo can do.
Can you ship me your rig so I can play it?Yeah, play Fallout 3 GOTY edition on PC right now, then get New Vegas Ultimate edition for PC.
Yikes graphically it's not good at all. Right from seeing the dog at the very start and then the character models and environments. I mean I guess it's early days and there should be plenty of time to get it looking good but this wasn't a good reveal. But beyond that, I didn't see anything to get excited about with the game over the last one.
Well it was basically Elder Scrolls combat for melee. What I want is decent gun combat! Like, FPS quality gun combat.
Oh of course they didn't.
Amen to this.Is it me or do the colors seem brighter in this one? Like, colors actually exist. The sky exists.
I like it! Can't wait! I never got into 3 because I didn't like the color pallet that much.
It doesn't really have crossgen graphics. You could not achieve that on a PS3 or 360.If it has crossgen graphics, why are people celebrating that it's not on the older systems? Graphics are not a deal breaker but it is a bit disappointing that they jump out at you.

My insinuation was not that an open world game can achieve the same graphics as those more linear experiences. It was that a higher level of graphical fidelity is expected across the board when it's been proven possible on this Gen of hardware.
I wouldn't expect this fallout to look like the order or TLOU remastered, but I certainly expect it to look better than a 360/ps3 game, which it does not.
Is your problem with the fact that I have standards and expect improvements between games made by the same dev?

Yes please!Who wants on the Hype Train?

Because they don't have to focus on five systems. I think it's great, as it allows devs to make the best use of the newer systems. If it has crossgen graphics, why are people celebrating that it's not on the older systems? How the hand actually looks.
Taken from Gamersyde's video.
Problem with Bethesda games is that they are designed around the tools they have, instead of coding an engine and a game around features they want.
That's why all their games end up being so formulaic and pretty much the same between each other. It's like going from Skyrim to Fallout they only develop a mod for their own game.
And since it relies so much on middleware, they got no clue about how to actually transform it in meaningful ways. So they can just spend more money to hire more artists and add more detail, but the core game barely improves.
People complaining about the graphics are forgetting how cruddy Fallout 3 looked. Now that was a nasty ass game to the eyes.
We've been at a point where you don't need to make good games to get sales for a while now. Though this recent phenomenon of praising a game's faults is something so weird. The graphics aren't very good, we all expected better.
There hasn't been any features or game play shown, there's been a few environments on display that look very interesting. We have no idea how large the actual world is yet, of course people should be excited if they're a big fan of the series but we literally know nothing about this game yet.
The graphics aren't very good for a game of this generation. Comparing it to Fallout 3 or GTA SA is dumb and hyperbole but that doesn't mean the fidelity is anything we expected, it's worse. Most don't care and they're excited for the game and it's fine, I don't care too much about the graphics either but to defend the graphics saying they look good is just as bad. All games have faults, some larger than others.

Shitty FPS combat system incoming.
This time without Obsidian writing and quest design!
Never played a Fallout before. Should I be hype?

I didnt like it in F3 but I did in Dying Light so hope its more like the latter.
