Is this a reboot?

The new movie is a reimagining of the first game, and this game tie-in follows suit. Hits the basic plot beats of the first game with new additions and changes.

It's not replacing the canon of the rest of the series or anything, just a retelling of the first R&C adventure.

R&C is glorious exactly as it is.

We'll see what else the game will have. Like space flight, different gameplay mechanics in other worlds, that sort of thing. But nah, this is R&C and this is what makes it amazing. No need to mess with it.

SUPER HYPED.

My first R&C game was on the PS3 and it floored me away. Love the story, sense of humor and gameplay. The graphical fidelity looks awesome in this reboot. Greatest of all, i will be able to play this game with my daughter! And watch the movie too. Hope the movie and game release within 1 week of each other.

Like what? Change for the sake of change is not good, also we only saw a small snippet there could be a lot more they need to unveal yet. The games are great as is, too much change and people would whine about that.

There are hundreds of games with different gameplay for you to try.

I dont get the argument, Insomniac tried some very new things with the franchise and fans snubbed them. It's a shooter/platformer game, what more do they need to do with it? ACiT perfected the formula and they should continue down that road.

Every time I hear someone complain that "it's the same gameplay" I never actually see any suggestions as to how they could somehow improve further.
