Just finished playing Harley's story pack with FPS locked to 30 and 60, not a single drop. So far so good.

PS4 fanboys have become the ultimate trolls online at this point. Worse than Xbox 360 fanboys last gen.

They're all jumping on this making it seem as though this happens all the time on PC and so "just get it on PS4". As if the EXACT opposite hasn't actually been the truth this generation.

FUCK OFF already.

The exact opposite has really only been true with The Witcher 3. Just about everything else has been more of a hassle on PC.

I want Adam West and Burt Ward skins and 60's batmobile! Also getting the game to work well would be good too. At least the 30fps mode works somewhat ok. When you try to run the game 60fps it gets messy. I didn't buy this to play 30fps on PC.

GTX660ti

1080p, V-sync and AA on. Normal textures, high shadows, high detail. Paper Debris and Enhanced Rain turned on. Getting solid 30fps.

Don't know what all the fuss is about.

The fuss is that some people are experiencing massive stuttering or, in my case, the exact same performance but with a 980.

A locked 60FPS is out of the question - best I can do is a locked 30. And for a card that's significantly faster than a 660ti? That's just shoddy programming.

Forgive me. But did they have the audacity to throw Iron Galaxy under the bus? WB and Rocksteady HIRED THEM knowing full well they did not possess PC experience! Did they just basically say "Well, it's shit but, ya know, we didn't work on this version."

How seriously do they take this again? All parties need to take heat for this.
Iron Galaxy = incompetent
Rocksteady = ignorant
Warner Brothers = probably vindictive when they got their Shadow of Mordor shit called out and probably vowed revenge on PC gamers

It's not just this game. EA sent out a tweet about Battlefront. Bunch of PS4 idiots saying how you shoudl buy it on PS4 instead 'cause Arkham.

IT's fanboys being idiot fanboys as usual. Nevermind mind that it would be a hundred times easier to turn the argument around.

Yeah well, what about Witcher 3? Lords of the fallen? Alien Isolations? AC Unity? Battlefield 4? etc, etc, etc.

There's an agenda with them here. They want to spin this from "Fucking terrible dev that is putting yet another half-baked turd out" to PC gaming sucks!! That's not helpful to anyone, including PS4 gamers that have to put up with this on other games.

Why are they doing this? Who knows. Maybe trying to overcompensate? Upset that PC ahrdware has alreayd left their console behind? Fanboys will fanboy I guess, but PS4 ones are pretty out of control.

Jeeze. Who cares about any of this? None of this matters. Don't let it get under your skin. Take a breath. Lol

Sounds good Nzyme32.

I might have to pick up the PS4 version at some point. I hate stutter and widely varying frame rates. It's very distracting. Give me a solid 30fps and I'm happy.

What I can't understand is why the devs can optimize for PS4 but not for PC. Sort your shit out devs.

What we've noticed is that the PC version stuttering seemingly gets worse the longer you play it. It starts off as hitching and gradually gets worse over the course of an hour or so to the point where the audio is effected and it is happening frequently and for longer periods. I'm tempted to say it has to be some kind of memory leak or something for that to happen.

The PS4 just works with a steady frame rate

This is bullshit. They are aware of issues with the PC port, and will try to fix them. Like they didn't fucking know the port had these problems.

GTX 980 here, game stutters, had it crash once on me. Fuck this, I'll wait on a true "fix". How do we still let devs get away with this?

I think the film grain looks worse when you play on PC because you sit so much closer. If I was playing on TV sitting on a couch it may be fine?

Should be an option though. Witcher 3 did PC settings right. So much can be configured.

It's depressing to see these sorts of reactions regarding the quality of a game -.-

What a time to be alive

Well he's not wrong. People need to chill and either get a refund if possible or wait on patches. The people have let Rocksteady know what they think about the games performance and they are working on fixing it. Nows the time for some patience.

It's getting lost in the hating, but if you have an AMD GPU and are seeing major (like in the teens) framerate drops, try playing in borderless windowed and see if that helps. I haven't nearly tested it enough but it seemingly got rid of big drops where it normally would. I'm playing it capped at 30fps...if you try to go 60 I think you will still drop frames because of the optimization though.

Well people keep buying games day one and now people won't exercise their new refunds even if a game runs like shit.

This is why the refund policy is good.

Man, looking at some of these videos.. that gameworks smoke looks really weird and out of place.

I'm one that usually likes all the NVIDIA physX/hairworks/gameworks crap, but that one i'm gonna disable, looks like a blob from another dimension or something.

Is it just the PC version that's a mess? Did WB do both console versions and if so what's the X1 version like?

All we keep seeing is how good the PS4 version is.

Exactly.

At some point IG handed their work back and Rocksteady / WB decided it was good enough to release.

The PS4 and X1 versions were developed in-house at Rocksteady, yeah.

Windows 8.1 here and for me the game is playable. Then again, MSI stopped showing the FPS for some reason on my second boot of the game so I can't say for sure how it's running. Definitely closer to 60 than 30 though as I'm quite sensitive to that. I do have the game drop frames when streaming stuff in the world though, which certainly happens more in the batmobile than while gliding.

I guess I'm luckier than most still.

What I find bizarre is that the FPS lock doesn't effect the benchmark. Like what the hell? It completely messed with my head as I didn't realise why things were so sluggish in-game until I brought up my monitoring software again.

Ridiculous attitude.

How about instead of expecting gamers to wait a week for a fix we just get a game that was properly prepped for launch in the first place? I would rather have a one week delay for a smooth launch than to deal with this crap.

Break it to me GAF.

These are my specs
GPU: GeForce GTX 770M
CPU: IntelCore i7-4700HQ CPU
Memory: 16 GB

Can I run this game fine?

Has anyone seen this?

Update: Rocksteady has issued a statement regarding the issues, saying it's working to get them resolved while highlighting it was another studio that did the PC port of the game.

"We're aware that some users are reporting performance issues with the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight," it reads. "This is something that Rocksteady takes very seriously. We are working closely with our external PC development partner to make sure these issues get resolved as quickly as possible. We'll update this thread when we've got more info to share."

Original story follows.

So seriously they gave the port job to a dev team that did a shit job on it... yeah okay...
Now they throw said dev team under the bus... Also some users? LOL more like the majority of users, good god...

I don''t know if I should be more angry at the people who made this and thrust it onto the unsuspecting public or myself for being dumb enough to buy it. I had.... Some of those issues Origins was renowned for, right around the time they took the attitude of patches LOL we're working on DLC! Needless to say, saltiness ensued, and I swore I'd never give them my money again.

Now here I sit, Having slapped myself in the face.

Thing is, even if the game worked 100% I believe I hate the bat-mobile so much that it's killing the rest of the game for me outside of the performance issues.

Sigh.

Yeah I didn't realize the problems were this extensive til this morning. I can't wait to dig in some more tonight. I'd be more upset but this game came free with my gpu

Also GAF > Internet > GAF

Man everyone in here is a bunch of babies... Look, every game released now is going to have problems the day of launch. If you can't troubleshoot or can't deal with having a few issues here or there, you should probably just wait until about a week from now and a few patches will be out and all these little problems will be fixed.
Pretty sure it's not the same guy.

im not holding any hope for a patch this week let alone next week, they are not gonna fix in a week what they couldn't in 3 years

Guys, we went over this last night. There's a good chance that it's just a coincidence, that probably isn't actually a WB employee.

The PC version was apparently farmed to a third party. Horrible I know.

Always like that. They never explicitly say before release that the PC version is outsourced until they need to shift the blame. Same exact thing happened with MKX with Netherrealm Studios quick to shift the blame to High Voltage on twitter before they get any dirt or Capcom with Other Ocean on SF4 PS4.

Is it me or is PC lacking AO compared to the PS4 stuff?

Also, who gives a shit Kinthalis? What's the point of bringing up stupid outside-GAF shit here? There's so much stupidity out on the Internet regarding games, it's not like this is a new phenomenon.

IT's HERE. How many PS4 people have come to this PC performance thread only to thread shit, or insinuate that this is just a typical PC release?
