Who is responsible for this mess of a port?

This is the flagship game packed with all 900 series graphic cards right now. THINK ABOUT THAT. GPU's that are vastly more powerful than the PS4 or Xbone and this game is supposed to be the kind of showcase that they pack in with them, and it runs like THIS?! With less effects and worse graphics?

I am so god damned angry man. I'm sorry for my language everyone.

This might be a bit subtle but here's a gif for this thread:

So, that 2GB minimum for a NVIDIA card... Yeah... The game will still go well over that, I replayed the "Officer Down" portion/start of the game at "minimum settings" at 720p and my 970 reached 2600MB with GPU utilization between 15-30% before I quit, 30% was while in the Batmobile. Also still used over 3500MB of RAM with a 5.5GB virtual memory commitment from when I checked.

Hearing all this, I'm pretty glad that I got this game for "free" with the GTX970 I've bought for The Witcher 3.

This game is what pushed me over the edge and buying a 970 when I was still planning to hold off another year in upgrading and I also was content on waiting until GOTY version of AK. I was expecting at least something on par with Arkham City minus the DX11 fiasco.

PC version - crap
X1 version - drops to 21fps and is 900p
PS4 version - drops to 21fps and has low AF

I want the game but will wait for a sale price.

Looks like I won't be double dipping when I get a new PC later this year. Unless it's fixed by then. How can you fuck up a port of an unreal engine game on PC? Especially when current console have x86 CPUs and one of them is running a cut down version of Windows.

The fact I can't refund this pos as I had it bundled with my card, I have to sit here in shame and forever see it on my library haha.

I played the better part of half hour and was like nope. Guess it's the ps4 version when it's cheap.

The worst part is, even if they somehow at some point are able to get this thing from freezing / hitching / crashing, we will likely NEVER get the graphics effects that are on the consoles. That would take a lot of work to actually include them. There is no excuse why they won't, but if they were willing to launch this in such a state, we will never get those effects imo

There's a NXgamer video floating around. It gets rough in the batmobile on every platform it seems.

I have the PC and PS4 versions, I can't for the life of me drive the batmobile without wanting to puke on PC. So much stuttering.

Ps4? I can feel that framerate drops a little. Very little. No stuttering whatsoever, pretty enjoyable in comparison.

I think we will at least get AO, it is in the .INI file for a reason. The performance issues will take longer to iron out, if it even gets fixed at all.

It seems like a lot of the specular aliasing is visible due to the complete lack of AO. So all the edges end up shimmering without shadows to "soften" them

B-Dubs

No Scrubs

That's about what I've got, only mine also has screen tearing while driving. Damn game would be playable after tweaking the ini if it wasn't for that damn car.

Holy fuck

I mean I've seen the PC version with my own eyes but that difference.....My god I have never seen anything like this where the console versions not only run better but have do much better graphical features going on.

Isnthere anything at all Nvidia can do about this?

I don't think this is a graphics card issue, it's a port issue all the way. Every game I've got runs smooth as butter, except this one.

Hopefully Nvidia will get on WB/Rocksteady's case to fix this fast because the effects were there in the PC promo footage.

The thing that makes me most sad is that PC games are still being outsourced so that the "real" dev can devote all their time and resources to the console game. I actually felt good about this one too since, up until a few months ago, all footage and even playable demos were done on PC and it looked great.

Thats what I'm wondering what happened? We have seen a great PC build. 60 fps with all the effects. I mean they were showing the "PC version" like crazy for months and Nvidia hyping it to the moon and back

Was the entire thing a fabrication?

Whatever it was, it was not the version people are buying/playing at the moment.
