Well, this really shocked me of how sudden this happened (keep in mind i don't really game much this days and wasn't even aware of his health or related ilness).

RIP Mr. Iwata. Even if i weren't much a fan of the Wii and NDS/3DS there's no doubt they marked a new era and renaissance for Nintendo.

Like, even after that, it seemed like he was better off. So sudden. And so shocking. Truly a tragedy for the company and many others who knew him.

"I feel there's a depth, a wonder to the act of making games. Creating a single game involves constant trial and error, integrating and play while remaining true to your theme, your concept. You wade through the vast possibilities, converging on a product. I really don't think there's anything else like it".

-Satoru Iwata.

Ugh... just what a pure loss of knowledge and understanding of Nintendo's history...

This is killing me.

Mr. Iwata, thank you for the hand you had with the fun and entertainment Nintendo has given to me over the years; your Iwata Asks and Nintendo Directs provided many insights into what makes the company tick, and made it feel a bit more personal. The Iwata Asks especially, helped me to mold new values regarding the ways video games can provide entertainment, and an openness for how hardware and games can be like fun toys, and to value the feeling of fun that comes from the action of playing as the most worthy aspect of video games. RIP Mr. Iwata :-( I have many more I still need to read.

Wow I'm shocked :( I haven't been a nintendo fanboy in a long time but his contributions go way beyond the recent history as president.

Crazy news. Guess his health problems were more serious than anyone let on.

Really loved what he brought to the company and his composure during Nintendo Directs/etc.

Rest in piece.
