Xbox One adds Xbox 360 backwards compatibility

From the official faq:

Q: Why are my disc based copies of approved games are not working?

A: Currently only game discs from North America are supported. We are working to add more regions and expect all regions to be fully supported when the program launches for everyone.

I'm still wondering if this means I'll finally be able to import and play some of Japanese-exclusive 360 games. There were a lot of them.

I ended up double downloading some of the xbox 360 games. I have two copies of Banjo Tooie and Perfect Dark installed. Anyone else have this happen?

Also, if you bought rare Replay, that uses a slightly different executable to facilitate the "hold menu to quit" option

I really hope they are working on Origianl Xbox support as well, and we hear about it at Gamescom. I can't imagine it is anywhere near as difficult to pull off as 360 BC, and having access to the entire Xbox catalog both physically and digital would be amazing.

no way. Xbox original was really hard for them to recode even for 360. I don't see it ever happening.

GerAlt-Right. Ciriously.
I'd much rather Alan Wake get a full blown remaster. Game looks terrible on 360. The PC version was so incredibly good looking, that getting something even close to that on Xbox One would be fantastic.

And before any PC elitist asks, yes I can play it on PC, but id be happy to pay a fair price for a good remaster that I can play on the comfort of my couch in the living room using my surround sound system.

hey, that's exactly how i played my version of AW on PC : P

but yeah, that game really cleans up well. Especially American Nightmare, though its gameplay leaves quite a bit to be desired.

Shadow Complex impressions.

PLEASE. NOW. PLEASE.

HURRY.

Impressions? It's not as good as you'd think - a lot of people rave about the game but I found it really soulless and hollow. It's definitely got its work cut out for it now, especially, considering the competition that's come around since it was released. I say it's a stinker! Shadow Complex sucks! However, most people enjoy it.

It's not letting me start Shadow Complex, telling me to sign into the profile that originally purchased the game. I guess they're having some issues right now.

Shadow Complex installing. 1.5GB. Oh the joys of last gen lol.

If I get it working I'll throw up some screens. I hope Gears 1 goes up soon.
