probably taken by the in game snapmatic which uploads to social club and is smaller than the actual resolution of the game (720p). remember you can't actually take a screenshot on PS3 unless you're using something to capture gameplay at it's native resolution.

Jesus the character faces. Korean games do a better job at this in character modeling.
I think the bad character models just show a lack of work and focus in this area. Really some of the worst we've seen this generation and very much last gen. The environment is fine as clearly it will be bigger and more visible but the character models have no excuse than an old engine and a lack of skills at Bethesda in this area.

I have Skyrim more heavily modded than this screenshot and it runs at 60fps without breaking a sweat. Then again I have 32GB RAM and a 980ti.
I'm so hyped for this game. Maybe I'm blind or crazy, whatever you want to say, but I think it looks good and I appreciate the higher use of color compared to past FO games.

Yes but a game can have a high budget and not look like the best game ever. The framerate will probably be quite good aside from intense moments considering the visuals.
Kingdom Come destroys FO4 visually.

Someone at Bethesda is pretty brilliant for holding the dev team back from developing a new engine.. same engine for 10 years! And the game will still sell a ton.
And I know developing a new engine is expensive because I have played Game Dev Story.

Not mind-blowing, but still looks like a generational leap over Fallout 3, New Vegas, and even Skyrim. I think someone on 4chan joked that now instead of looking like a game from 2006 it looks like a game from 2010. Sure, I guess.

Yes, hyperbole, actually. Those are cherry picked screenshots displayed in super small thumbnail size. Try taking a capture of the actual PS3 game actually running at full size and then compare it to FO4. Please. Proceed, governor.

TLOU is but thats a much more focused and designed game
Dude most open world games suffer under the weight of their sheer size in the graphics department
That said ... the issues are a bit easier to notice in Fallout 4 for the same reasons
its funny considering I wasn't even mentioning shadows at all but just the overall quality of the screenshots.
I've played many mmorpg's without shadows on in PvP just to increase performance due to on screen characters, having shadows in the distant be non existent has never been an issue....but the amount of pixelation in compressed screenshots really annoys me.

wow. i don't remember gta v looking that bad on PS3. sure games look better in motion than a single screenshoot but that really is something.

These screenshots have convinced me to change my preorder from PS4 to PC. I was really optimistic about the PS4 version, but I can't believe how bad some of these shots look.
Produce a shot at full res that looks better than FO4 then. I eagerly await a series of dishonest comparisons to try to prove your shitty point.
I really wish whoever was taking these would give take some more varied shots. They keep taking shots of the same area with the same things happening.
