It's also like some people don't realize how much more powerful current PCs are than consoles. A PC equipped with a GPU analogous to a GTX 960 would offer significantly superior graphics. Even with less compression and full RGB color spectrum you are not going to make up for much worse IQ, AO, LOD, shadow and shader quality. A 4K screenshot is an extreme case as it would take a very beefy rig to run it at those resolutions, but even at 1080p you can see huge differences between console and PCs at high settings.

A 7950 would offer superior performance to a PS4 at 1080p, and you should be able to turn up the graphics settings beyond what the consoles offer. The biggest problem would be memory capacity, but not all games require more than 2Gb.

im am a huge fan of naughty dog but im a little concern if something goes wrong and the game dont turn out amazing like the other entries.
another example is MGSV i didnt finish, actually i played only 3 hours and didnt hook me up like the other games.
now saying this game will be amazing like others just because is not the correct thing to say

To have nearly every object in the game movable with physics applied to them, instead of the usual static objects that we get in most games, is very expensive to a system.
You have to make trade offs all the time and it's clear, that with Bethesda, they'd rather give the player more freedom over what they want to do, than have a static world that you can't do anything in.
Personally, I prefer having more detailed worlds.

Since I'm not a huge Fallout fan, all of this doesn't bother me too much. There's just not much I'm interested in until Dark Souls 3. Has anyone said anything about he actual gameplay?

Be constructive and back up why your opinion is what it is.

Not a big fan of the HUD, looks too "cartoonish" and simplistic for my liking. Won't comment on the graphics untill I see it on PC at 1080p60.
I don't think you can really backup the opinion of "I think it looks good."
Doesn't make it any less valid though.

Pre ordered but I agree the graphics are disappointing but I expect the game play to be fun. I expect--I do not know. It is fair game for people to complain about the graphics in a screenshot thread. Why defend a game you haven't played before? Also skyrim felt lifeless to me--open world that depended on mods. I do not think Bethesda should get a pass because of mods. When you review a game you don't think about future mods you think about the game that got shipped.

Hopefully still there on PC, at least to some extent. It looks ridiculous on console. Comparing to MGSV which was a 60fps and open world, still probably F4 will be more bigger but at 30fps it should have looked way better than in these screens

I just ordered it but let's be honest here, It looks like ass. We've already had much better looking open world games in Witcher 3, GTA V (including the last gen version), DA:I, Arkham Knight, Mad Max, MGS V, Ass Creed Unity & Syndicate, Watch Dogs, inFamous etc and there's plenty more that look more visually impressive on the Horizon (Pun intended)
It seems like they started making this with a dated engine at best as a cross-gen game and time ran away with them or they underestimated this gen's success, not much can be done about it now.
At the end of the day though I don't think anybody has ever bought a Fallout game because of its graphics. With Witcher 3 outdoing Skyrim in terms of gameplay (for me) my hope is just that Fallout 4's gameplay isn't as dated as it's engine. Fingers crossed.
EDIT: "Looks like ass" is a little strong, The screenshots in the OP absolutely do, but the gameplay footage released simply looks "ok"

just cause it looks last gen doesn't mean it looks ugly. Its not the most gorgeous game out there but I've seen worst. I've never cared much for graphics anyway, all i ask for is a coherent art direction (which they did) so the game doesn't look like it was all slapped together and I'm good.
I think it looks perfectly fine and I am happy with it.

This isn't PS4 footage. Look at the buttons and do you really think in a PS4 gameplay the character would be named Phil Spencer...............................? This is the demo they showed in E3. Why do we give credit to a video which is completely lying and is wrong?

I have consoles by Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony (and a weak laptop with an Intel GPU), so I'm certainly not a fanboy. But it's just annoying that some developers show videos at trade shows, that looks better than the final game. Why didn't they show the Xbox One-version at E3?
