Biggest laugh for me was in the trailer for that beautiful looking game where you fly around as an eagle, when a gamertag appeared over one of the other birds.

A swiss game dev team did something similar, with the rift, but with a quirky hardware alongside.

FFVII:R, Ni no Kuni 2, Ace Combat 7, Ratchet, UC4, Ni-Oh... like I said, good content, but I've come to the conclusion that Sony is just bad at pacing in their conferences. They're always like this.

Probably the Ps2 on Ps4 shit. Getting booed isn't the best way to end the show. Not with them prices.

The conference was solid but they should've ended on Ni No Kuni 2 instead of Paragon. The wort parts for me were the ending and the audience.

The standings now that all the conferences are over:
1st - E3 10/10
2nd - TGS 9/10
3rd - PGW and PSX 7/10

The show angered me a bit but first the positives:
-Loved all the indie love that appeared on the stage; lots of Double Fine games landing on PS4 and Vita, Adult Swim Games supporting PS4, Bastion & Bit Trip Collection releasing on Vita today, a lot of great stuff was announced .
-Ratchet & Clank Stage Demo: I always see Insomniac as a Sony Developer and seeing them on stage after a long while not being on stage at Sony's shows, made me very happy. Seeing a live demo of the game made things even better; Ratchet next to Platinums PS4 titles (TNMT and Nier 2), will be my games of the year :').
-Uncharted 4 Story Trailer: I really enjoyed seeing it and with it giving the hint at narrative options during scenes, the games replayablity will be very high.

Now stuff that angered me and mainly it was this:
-Crash T-Shirt but no game announcement: You are wearing the damn thing like nothing; you DO know people want a Crash game after you guys tease it god knows how many times, right?! I'm sorry but even though I know this means a game announcement is bound to come at E3 next year, I can't help but be pissed at Sony. If Gravity Rush 2 wasn't the final straw to me, this was.

Thanks for the summary. Don't care about anything after the first two so I'm glad I didn't watch it. The more game event stuff I skip, the more I lose interest in it. There's always so much filler and/or stuff I have zero interest in. The time is almost always better served actually playing games instead.

But the lack of first party announcements is dire. Four years since Bend released something and nothing.. FOUR YEARS. Basically Uncharted 3 came out at a super similar time, and TLoU/U4 will both have come out from them.. with us having heard nothing from Bend. Crazy.

Yeah, this is just not something to announce on stage. I feel like Sony is putting a bit too much E3 in the show. Why are the giant third party games even here?

Then again, the audience was crazy excited about Destiny racing, so I'm speaking from a different perspective.

I'm sorry that like the third huge conference full of announcements of the year (not including announcements made outside of conferences) didn't have enough megatons for you. Sony really fucked up and dropped the ball.

People are allowed to not like it. Hell it's probably impossible for everything in the conference to have appealed to everyone, just by the nature of the format. But what gets me is the over the top, hyperbolic reactions that make it impossible to have a reasonable discussion. When people say shit like "THIS IS THE WORST CONFERENCE EVER BAD GUY SONY IS BACK THEY ARE DESTROYING ALL THE GOOD WILL WITH GAMERS I WON'T BE WATCHING NEXT YEAR" like, halfway through the show when they showed a string of 3 or 4 games you didnt like, what kind of discourse are you expecting? To be honest the hype threads in the opposite direction are the same thing, and usually lead to the kind of impossible, self created high expectations that cause people to be irrationally disappointed in the first place.

You're not wrong, but I somewhat take issue with the argument that UC4 and FFVII constitute 'megatons' when both of those are known variables.
