Giant Bomb Vive stream | What a Time to Be a Vive!

So the stuff I've seen as "musts" or as close to musts so far.

Hover Junkers
Space Pirate Trainer
Playing through The Labs stuff
The Free stuff - Job Simulator, Fantastic Contraption
Vanishing Realms
The Gallery (biggest pill to swallow on price)
TheBlu
Light Repair Team looked fine at $5.

I have 7 and 9 year olds, so, definitely want to do Tilt Brush and some of the experience stuff, too for them. And Budget Cuts when that releases.

Ye, why does the landscape look like boo boo? That basically IS firewatch.

because they rebuilt the set for VR and probably didn't have time/resources to build a detailed surrounding area? They probably just build the set and a simple background

It's just a concept right now, a demonstration of the kind of thing they are going for.
I hope it does get better.
As the biggest advocate of vr I thought you would be more tolerant of unfinished concepts and demos. :p
I probably should be. This game is literally in Early Access on Steam and the Oculus Store. I guess I just really want to be in that world, not in a set designed to resemble that world.

The motion/talk thing adds almost everything you need to do vastly more interesting multiplayer stuff than today it seems. Can't wait to see where this stuff is going.

That's probably more on campo Santo to port a vr version of their game though.

sure but this isn't the game, its a set where Will interviews the devs. Each week/month (not sure how often it is) they'll interview different people in different locations. And you can be in those spaces and explore yourself so its like being on set.

That's actually really disappointing. I know this isn't Firewatch VR, but the skybox and landscape is the most interesting part of being in that tower.

I think that is beside the point for this. The idea was to be able to better investigate a bunch of the assets from the games, like the books and other objects. Going that much further with the actual world itself and multiple areas is pretty ridiculous for a group not even intending to specifically only show off Firewatch. Will plans to interview a bunch of other people and mess with lots of other peoples content I think

VR Will Smith looks like a refugee from that old Dire Straights CG video

if Sony doesn't do something social like this for PSVR they are FOOLS

Yep. I could see them looking into that.

Yes I know what this is.

Clearly the guessing at what your body is doing based purely on the location of the headset and controllers isn't working.

It looks shit whenever a game tries to do it.

Then I think you perhaps have slightly ambitious expectations if you wanted to see a third party company insert characters into an actual game engine. They have to set this up for efficient production if they want a weekly show which realistically means bringing a limited number of assets into their setup rather than bring their setup and try and graft it onto multiple other engines.

I'd also like firewatch in VR - I think the pace would work well in VR and they could use teleportation if necessary.
