Spider-Man is clearly up there with the biggest names in gaming in terms of E3 hype. I expect a juggernaut if it turns out well and gets a good PR effort from here on out.

IGN has stated many times that their Skyrim Review and Wiki continue to get bazillions of hits every month, so no surprise there. It's always one of their top-searched topics.

Man, It's going to be a long wait for Death Stranding. Glad it's getting lots of attention! Now I just need to know exactly how long I have to wait for the PC version.

Thought Zelda would have been higher. Maybe it's just Nintendo fans don't go to ign.

Like does ign even do a Nintendo podcast?

Crash>Zelda, Resident Evil, Gears of War...

You know it!

I've been saying for a while, but the engagement we get on anything Crash Bandicoot on Push Square is ridiculous. It's up there with the very biggest PlayStation franchises. Sony and Activision will have seen the same data, so it's zero surprise they're bringing the franchise back.

Crash Bandicoot really strikes a chord -- particularly with the current crop of PlayStation fans.

I don't get the buzz around Scorpio. I feel like if you're the type of gamer who's really into having the best visuals and VR capability, you'd already own a high-end gaming PC.

There's a large group of people who will never buy a gaming PC, but would gladly buy a new, more powerful Xbox or ps4.

They announced a new console. That's never not going to get clicks.

Skyrim Special Edition is going to sell like 10 million copies. So much easy money for Bethesda lol

Yeah, it's going to be like GTA V in regards to folks double dipping from the last gen versions. Pretty good timing for them in terms of maximizing sales.

They do have a Nintendo podcast. I know back in the day, Nintendo used to get the most traffic for their E3 presentations. That's obviously gone to shit now.

This just shows that a lot of people were interested in reading about it, not necessarily that they liked the news.

Didn't they also announce at the time that if you own the legendary edition (or all DLCs) on PC, you will get a free upgrade to SE? That was really, really nice of them

Surprised Zelda isn't higher on the list

I'm down for Scorpio, Spidey, Skyrim and Zelda. But biggest for me was the Sony conference in general, shit was intense

Not only that, but it will bring mods to consoles. It's like, they want ALL the money.

Worth noting is that clearly seems to be about individual articles. It's not necessarily that for example Skyrim Special Edition was the fourth most viewed thing of E3 overall, but that the article that announced it was the fourth most clicked. For Zelda, for example, it was the "12 times bigger than Twilight Princess"-article that was in ninth place. Considering the amount of coverage that game got across the three days I imagine it'd be a lot higher if you'd measure it by using all related articles.

lol an off hand comment about elder scrolls sequel being made in a random interview is one of the biggest stories.

Skyrim just turned TES series into the biggest RPG series out there. Like a freaking remaster and a confirmation that the next installment is underway without anything at all managed to grab 3 and 4 lol

It's doing well on Amazon best seller lists.
I'm going to be a jerk and say how little that means right now. Nothing is selling. Here's a sampling: "Well" on a list of things of non-notable things isn't notable.

1) PSN $20
[...]
8) Battle.net $20
9) PSN 1 year
10) Persona 5, premium edition
[...]
13) Pokemon GO app companion wrist piece
14) PSN $60
15) XB1-S 2TB
[...]
23) PS4

So, hey, at least it's outselling the current PS4 model! This probably translates to approximately 4 XB1s per day and 3 PS4s (kidding). The announcements of the sorta-midgen-but-maybe-Microsoft's-is-new console background chatter is confusing to the average non-enthusiast consumer. May had a few blockbuster releases and little else. June has had, uh, nothing. Next NPD is going to be historic levels of abysmal. No one's messaging from E3 is having an impact on things right now beyond the TES franchise.

Wasn't much of a reason to read anything about Zelda. Plenty of video coverage out there to show the game and all the new features.

Quite surprised that Zelda is at number 10, I guess the install base of the Wii U may be partially to blame, but then again IGN is just one website so I suppose it doesn't hold a significant amount of weight, especially since Nintendo had a stream going and there was plenty of gameplay to see elsewhere.

Your feeling is very misguided.

There are a huge number of gamers interested in high-fidelity graphics who will never touch a gaming PC.

Go Scorpio!

I'm honestly super excited for future news. I was going to pickup only a NX next year but with Zelda looking awesome on the Wii U I may be buying a nice 4K TV and a Scorpio in Fall 17 and waiting on the NX/Neo.

New hardware is always going to get the clicks, which is expected, but Sony's press conference being second...i guess Sony did something right if there is buzz about something like that and not a specific announcement

Indeed. The only thing surprising about Zelda is that it had an article on the list at all, considering how much of the coverage was video and it was a previously announced game. Everything else on the list was "[insert thing] announced" (except for PS conference review). I bet something like Battlefield 1 got the most overall traffic, but since there was no obvious announcement- or "wow, this is huge news"-article for it during E3 it's not on the list.

Word is getting around that you should check out Playstation press conferences, even among casuals.
