Crash alone is enough to resonate through casuals. My mom who has only ever played the crash games mentioned she heard crash was coming back and ask me if I still liked the guy. Crash will be a monster if done correctly.
I'm surprised Zelda isn't higher considering that article about social media mentions. Otherwise Sony seems to have won out on IGN with 6 out of 11 articles coming from the Sony conference.
Oh yeah, it will be huge. They know it is a huge IP and letting is bake as the install base of PS4/Xbox One continues to grow will make it a massive launch. I have a feeling we will see it at E3 2017 and launches in 2018. By then NEO & Scorpio will be out and install base will be so much larger across the board.
I don't get the buzz around Scorpio. I feel like if you're the type of gamer who's really into having the best visuals and VR capability, you'd already own a high-end gaming PC.
People that say this clearly don't get it. Some people make the choice to go with a really capable console over building a high end PC, because they want and like the idea of an even more catered or streamlined experience that is available through consoles. In fact, the numbers suggest the large majority of people go this route, so a console with this type of power seems like it would be a very attractive product.
I don't know how it used to be but now'n days IGN sucks if you're looking for Nintendo related content. They rarely cover stories and what they do cover has already been done better and faster by other channels like GameXplain.

I slightly disagree with this. I will agree that, for stories and analysis, Twitter/GAF have you covered apart from the occasional exclusive interview.
IGN's Nintendo podcast, Nintendo Voice Chat, is a very good podcast. The regulars, Peer Schneider (co-founder of IGN), Brian Altano and Jose Otero (host) are well versed with Nintendo games and its history, and Peer has a unique Japanese and long run video game industry perspective. There is a diverse set of opinions and it's straight to the point. Jose is usually very well prepared too.
People are that excited for an improved Skyrim? like seriously it got more view than new and highly anticipated games, that's a shame.
Sony got a very nice presence in this list, MS revealed a new console so obviously that's an automatic win in terms of interest, no game can beat a new console.
Boggles why Skyrim get so much attention. I liked Skyrim and all but I think the series in general still feels painfully dated in some aspects. Fallout 4 though was...boring.
New hardware is always going to get the clicks, which is expected, but Sony's press conference being second...i guess Sony did something right if there is buzz about something like that and not a specific announcement
