Shieeet. So much for long legs thanks to the anime.
It's hard to believe a PSP game sold 40k digital in a month even if it was given for free.
Hayarigami was 23yen. Nippon Ichi Software ran a campaign on Twitter where each retweet = 0.01% discount. It achieved over 9,900 retweets and got a 99% discount LOL.Actually, the game was in sale for just 21¥
Yeah, that's practically free.
Battlefield was just 800¥. Edited my previous post.

About the next handheld: a late 2017 release is completely unrealistic, so a 2018 one would be pure madness.
Unfortunately for Nintendo and its Japanese partners it looks as if Japan's interest in 3DS software is fading (like the rest of the world tbh). To be expected at this point after almost 6 years. However its more concerning that Nintendo has not announced a successor. Games like Yokai 3, MHS, DQ11 would greatly benefit from being on new hardware. There cant be franchise growth on dying hardware. Level 5, Capcom and Square Enix are surely eagerly anticipating the next hardware.
YW3 is more impacted by its own decay, and the same can be said of AA. But DQ11 is announced for new hardware, lol. If Stories struggles, I don't think new hardware or not will or would have helped.
But, yes, the 3DS is old now and six years is pushing it, especially in this new mobile age. They need that replacement and I hope they announce it in conjunction with the console when the NX is unveiled as it is the follow-up to both regardless of how they may word "not a successor to either" since the Wii/DS line is dying.
And if we can see the writing on the wall, Nintendo et al damn well do as well.

Is Story of Seasons keeping Marvelous afloat.
I'm sure a lot of people will be shocked by the new Nintendo machine and I think not in a good way but we will see.
Actually, other than SoS. What other game from Marvelous is doing well here?
They should really revive Rune Factory here.T_T
Since I see you posted your opinion several times on the matter in such a specific way, I wanted to know if you have awareness of what the NX is...
Well, he got that tag over the Wii U...
No specifics but diferent sources told me a different scenario about it (I mean over the things accepted here as possible).
I think the main concern about it or my impression is that "almost nobody" is working with it outside japan. I imagine there will be a good support.
And I heard a lot of crazy rumors, you won't believe some of them.
I suppose your sources have talked about an handheld, with Wii U-like visual, with a TV output / an hybrid, going by your most recent posts. That is a starking contrast with what we've heard so far from reliable insiders like OsirisBlack, who stated how porting from PS4 and One will be easy, which is something I wouldn't see as possible if it were what you describe. Unless it's one of the SKUs of the whole NX family...maybe? I know you've been right about Wii U in the past, but OsirisBlack (example) was pretty spot on about PS4K well before Giantbomb's news.
Eh, I suppose we'll have to wait (damn it) and see who's right, then...

They have Senran Kagura lol.

We have LCGeek say that the CPU is greater than the Xbox One and PS4 as well the other poster saying that the NX can receive ports "relatively easy". So, are you say that the Neogaf community will be shock about a scenario of lack of western third parties game?

i think your post here is in mindset of the past.About the next handheld: a late 2017 release is completely unrealistic, so a 2018 one would be pure madness.
IF the next handhed came out in March 2017, that'd be pretty much six years after the launch of the 3DS. Now, the DS lasted a little over 6 years too, and that was in a radically different market (no real competition from smartphones yet). It also sold a total of over 30m units. On the other hand, 3DS is in a significantly worse market for handhelds, with intense competition from smart devices literally nuking everything in-between low-budget games and/or family stuff and "AAA" games like MH. There's no way the 3DS could last until late 2017, especially with how Software sales have taken a hit for a lot of games this year (though obviously also for different reasons besides the aging platform).
A late 2017 release also doesn't fit with the little evidence we have, aka: Nintendo hasn't had an internally-developed 3DS game since last year (not counting localisation like Fire Emblem Fates). The last internally developed 3DS game I can remember is Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer and Chibi-Robo: Zip Lash. All the others have been co-developed or completely developed by partners (MP Federation Force, Kirby, Ever Oasis, Hyrule Warriors Legends).
So what's Nintendo's working on at the moment?
When Nintendo finally unveils its NX platform is when we'll know about the next handheld and when we can expect it. As I've said in the past, I'm pretty certain the two are closely linked (no hybrid)... in fact, that's pretty much the only thing I'm certain about this damn enigma of a platform, ha ha.
EA announced J-League license in FIFA 17
So, we will finally see FIFA sale surpass PES in Japan this year?
Then, Konami can go all out to MGS Pachinko
i think your post here is in mindset of the past.
Basically you are assuming that development at Nintendo is divided in to handheld and home console development. This mindset would defit the purpose of tem adopting an unified platform and OS.
So NIntendo has been working at the moment in games from the series that work both in a portable and home system.
Edit: In general, not directed to L~A. Please stop the teasing, if you know something that can't be said publicly, just don't say a thing.

I want to have more confirmations of course but it's strange that people gives the same or almost the same info in this kind of things when they aren't related at all.
But we will have to wait.
PS: PS4 Neo was available (the info and specs) on devnet before giantsbomb article if i'm not mistaken. This is why we have detailed info about it since is almost a copy/paste.
The impression I've gotten from various people in the industry at major publishers is that Nintendo has given Western publishers their mission statement/general vision for the system, but not the system itself, so I imagine things will be hazy for a while.
Like, I'm 98%+ positive Toys For Bob was being truthful when they said they didn't have any NX development kits.
