7000 Pokebucks.

I 'd love to know what was going on in the mind of the person who looked at Vikavolt and was like "Yeah, 43 base speed seems about right".

Is there a list yet of all the known changes to old Pokemon? I saw the thing with Pelliper and Gengar and everything else attached. Is that all so far?

So No Guard Machamp with Fissure is seriously happening?

Doubt it, I imagine they'll do the "Sorry, your Pokemon has X move, better delete it so we don't have something fun like a Seismic Toss-knowing Charizard!" restriction they've included in previous games (Origin Pulse, Precipide Blades, HMs from previous generations even when said moves exist as HMs/can be taught to the transferred Pokémon etc.) when it comes to Sun & Moon, especially given the attempt to balance the ludicrous power creep that came from the previous six generations. A 100% accurate Fissure user with as much bulk as Machamp would be as bad as Talonflame's Flying-spam in X/Y.

The AI fudging up at the end and not just using a rock move. ;_;

That was unfortunate. Still, the encounter seems pretty well put together. Paraflinch and status, defenses are solid enough to handle Z- Moves. She demonstrates why Z-Moves are pretty neat for AI trainers, the damage they do puts the player into a somewhat awkward position which is where Pokemon single player is at its best.

That's about as likely as Ruby and Sapphire remakes turning up on the DS after Black and White.

It's currently a toss-up between us getting a Necrozma-starring third game/sequel, or Sun and Moon being Gen VII's only games and Gen VIII kicking off on the Switch sooner rather than later. There simply isn't enough of the content that they like to fill a generation with to stretch it out longer than a couple of years; there's only one unannounced Mystical Pokémon, for heaven's sake.
Perhaps but we'll see.

I honesly would rather take a year break then move onto Gen VIII to have two years with Moon but we'll see.

Yeah the battle was pretty good. I was impressed. Not overly hard of course but not bad.

Slightly optimistic regarding single player difficulty after watching that fight vs Olivia. The player doesn't have much experience with Pokémon games it seems, though.

Talonflame got nerfed?

please.. every god damn team had that stupid ass bird

It's like Mega Kangaskhan in pokemon x an y -____-

Ash Greninja can't breed?

Probably the biggest bummer for me. If only its nature wasn't set to Hardy in the demo, then that could've been workable. Really seems like a one and done addition.

Yeah I'm grateful he's playable but man being able to breed him would have been great.

Makes me wonder if protean greninja will be nerfed since talonflame and others got hit.

My guess is they changed it to either:
-Water-type becomes ___ Type used by the attack while remaining dual-type with ___/Dark (Dark Type remaining would give it some easy weaknesses to take it down, especially with priority moves;using a Dark-type attack causes it to become pure Dark)
-Greninja changes to single ____ type for the turn the attack is used. Reverts back to Water/Dark after turn ends (makes it easier to revenge kill it via Mach Punch)

Have you seen the Mega Pokemon Pokedex entries? They're quite illuminating:

Stolen from Gamefaqs said:
Gengar(Mega): Gengar’s relationships are warped. It has no interest in opponents unless it perceives them as prey.

Kangaskhan(Mega): Thanks to Mega Evolution, its child grows. But as the child is good only at fighting and nothing else, its mother feels uneasy about its future.

Pinsir(Mega): The influence of Mega Evolution leaves it in a state of constant excitement. It pierces enemies with its two large horns before shredding them.

Gyarados(Mega): Mega Evolution also affects its brain, leaving no other function except its destructive instinct to burn everything to cinders.

Aerodactyl(Mega): When it Mega Evolves, it becomes more vicious than ever before. Some say that’s because its excess of power is causing it pain.

Sharpedo(Mega): As a consequence of Mega Evolution, its combative instincts exploded. The yellow marks it bears are scars from a long history of battles.

Salamence(Mega): Mega Evolution fuels its brutality, and it may even turn on the Trainer who raised it. It’s been dubbed “the blood-soaked crescent.”

Metagross(Mega): Mega Evolution stimulated its brain. It emerged as a ruthless Pokémon that will clutch at any means of ensuring its victories.

Garchomp(Mega): Its vaunted wings become scythes, sending it mad with rage. It swings its scythes wildly and slices the ground to pieces.

Lucario(Mega): It readies itself to face its enemies by focusing its mental energies. Its fighting style can be summed up in a single word: heartless.

Garchomp literally goes insane because its beautiful wings turns into ugly scythes. Lucario loses its nobility and honor and only cares about winning. Salamence predictably tries to kill its own trailer because it's a Mega asshole. Mega Kanghaskan fears for its childs future. Aerodactyl is in pain.

Oh vey. You think GF is trying to send a message with these entries? Haha.

Oh my god
Bravo Game Freak

Olivia followed by UB-01 by Hau makes for a succession of pretty cool fights. I can see people thinking this to be a bit more difficult than previous games.Particularly if you don't use the EXP share and play on Set.
