You won't need to. I guess if you're accustomed to games like Bayonetta you'll get the hang of battle mechanics in about 15 minutes.
Game isn't that challenging. At least in the first 5 hours that I've played. Especially if you use use wait mode.

I dont even know what wait mode is but I guess Im decent at action games, I can deal without a practice arena for sure.

They're all just for
finishing chapters

I wouldn't mind a practice arena. The citadel is such a good combat arena where you can practice long warp strikes and point warps. It's a really iconic location too with the game's history, and it would be nice to have.

Hopefully we can do Open Combat and it really isn't just an installation thing.

Literally every single one is done by just playing the game(1 needs to be on Normal mode) and 1 idk how to get.

Okay so XIII had a trophy related to having all the weapons in the game at some point, which required killing those giant turtles that were tricky and time consuming to take down and it was something like a 1% drop (I'm serious) for the materials you needed to craft the ultimate weapons and you had to get a lot of them... platinum ignots or something.

It was fucking nightmarish. I only did it because I'm a goddamned psycopath. Then I platinum'd XIII-2 and Lightning Returns... then made a new PSN ID lol.

I forget, how many difficulty settings are there? Just Easy and Normal, or is there a Hard difficulty?

At the start just Easy and Normal. idk if any open op after.

I hope the Gentiana snapshot ain't too hard to do. Looks like it would require some dumb circumstance, hope not.

Nothing like that,
maxing skills, using techs, finishing chaps is basically all there is.

So if early adopters download the Crown patch, will that essentially ruin their saves? I thought I read somewhere that you can't use old saves with the new patch.

I am still concerned about this. However, am I remembering wrong and Tabata did not say anything about this patch not working with older saves?

Overly long, at least this time we don't have to look at some and wonder why he's dressed as the Lone Ranger.

Him being incredibly hammy and dressed like the lone ranger is the only good part, and maybe the bells thing, that was incredibly cruel and cool.

I hope you don't have to cross that ocean in real-time.

Man, if this was some old school JRPG (but not too old school) a voyage as large as that would've probably been a 1-2 hours little adventure with something happening on the ship and it turning into a dungeon...

For some reason I had a sudden urge to download RPG maker XD

For everyone who played the game and who got as far as the lighthouse on Cape Caim I have a question. I'll put it in spoilers, just in case, even though it is something we've talked/speculated about openly in other threads before. It's regarding a location.
Is there a town next to Cape Caim? Studying newer maps and some of the more recently released game art, I got the hunch there might be a town that they never showed us before.

It sounds like they've nerfed the difficulty in this and the trophy list lol. My dreams of it being a modern day FF12 are crumbling!

Jrpgs have always loved a boss fight on the ship as you leave the starting continent <3

I just tagged it cuz idk what people consider spoilers anymore. You're safe to look if you don't mind reading boring achievements.

No it wasn't spoilery lol just... wow if the trophies are that much easier to get. I'm sure a few might be tricky just as long as they're not outlandish.

I'm really not seeing what you guys mean by PSP cutscenes. There's a jarring different between cutscenes that look great and some that just look okay, just like in FFXIII.

Yeah, it's not a Kitase game, but you're going to find absolutely terrible shit in his games too. Remember "worst birthday ever"?

XV will be the Dark Souls II of the franchise

It will have the best DLC and best husbando(Ivory king is the single most badass char in the souls franchise, the guy appeased the old chaos with his soul and made a shard of manus actually fall in love with him, manliness overload)
