Just revealed: #DeathStranding is being built on the Decima Engine developed by our very own @Guerrilla Games.

We are very proud and honored to collaborate with @KojiPro2015_EN and sharing our @DecimaEngine with them.

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
Herman Hulst of Guerilla Games and Mark Cerny are also at the Death Stranding panel talking about working with Kojima.

The camera work on Del Toro was very much in line with what was done in MGSV thats why people prematurely thought it was the Fox engine.

Read the title as "Death Stranding is developed by Guerrilla Games" and got super confused for a second.

Death Stranding is practically 1st party.

SIE funding and publishing.
Cerny (PS4 lead architect) is the Technical Producer.
Guerrilla Games engine.
SIE visual arts studio doing all motion capture work.

PC release was mentioned at the project inception (prior to choosing engine, going on a worldwide trip) but I'm not so sure anymore.

Just revealed on stream: Guerrilla Games gave Kojima a box with the engines source code inside the first time they met. From the sounds of it, they are sharing this for free?

Has Kojima already said if this is open world? Because with how good Horizon looks, I can only imagine if that was focused on a more linear game... ;_;

What did Cerny said about Kojima's "former employee" that made the audience erupt with a big loud boo? I missed what he said.

Guerilla Games actually gave Kojima the source code for their engine in a custom made ornate box on their first meeting. Damn that's how you sell your team and your engine. Classy!

Oh, that's awesome! Horizon looks incredible, so I believe Death Stranding will manage to be a looker as well.

Considering Sony owns the IP of the game, I imagine the license extends only to that.

I'll be completely honest, if it was anybody other than Kojima telling me that the trailer was running in real time at 4K on the PS4 Pro...I just wouldn't believe them.

So.. does this mean its now PS4 exclusive? That kind of stinks since I remember it being said to be timed and then coming to PC.

So i guess Kojimas games will never show up on Xbox? Unless he's crazy and uses a different engine for every game.

pretty implicit he'll be sticking with sony regardless

unless he does a little side thing. like that GBA game, forgot what it was called

Sony own the IP
Sony own the engine.

The only "proof" of a PC version was some moderator on the PlayStation EU forums saying it might come to PC after the Kojima x Sony announcement last year.

This thing is locked down tighter then North Korea.

When Kojima met Guerrilla they introduced themselves and handed him this

That's the source code to Decima. He said they gave him that before any deals or contracts were in place.
