Yeah, not sure why some users are are so angry at it but for $5 it's a decent purchase. The game is basically a big interactive cut-scene so a cheap movie-ticket like price is decent.

To which you could probably respond "well, a bit of a yellowish white." And yes, there are deals to get cards for $5 off or whatever, maybe it's less frequent but it really doesn't change the fact you're getting more money back by agreeing to allocate it to a store.

Risk of Rain is tempting but I think I remember hearing the online wasn't too hot? I've also got Dark Cloud 2 in my cart. I think the clowns early on in the game freaked me out and I never progressed any further.

If I didn't already own them, I'd pick up Super Mega Baseball and Just Cause 2 though I think the sequel to Super Mega Baseball is due out this year.

Dark Cloud 2 is my favorite DRPG ever

I played the first one on PS2 and thought it was extremely boring and repetitive, though I liked some of the mechanics.

Is this any better? Is it still just a dungeon crawl?

edit: nevermind, just read the description on Wikipedia. Not my style.

PvZ Garden Warfare, is it worth it for local multiplayer for an 8 yr old?

My kids like it (and the sequel), but it's a bit limited for local multi. It only has one local split screen co-op mode, which is fun but not as good as the other online-only modes. For $5 though it's fine (if you were on X1 I'd just recommend getting it with EA Access).

It's supposedly really short, but apparently there are multiple endings. Reviews make it seem like its parts don't add up to a satisfying whole product. One of the reviews mentioned Everybody's Gone to the Rapture-like walking speed, which puts a damper on things for me. It still looks interesting though.

I *think* the general consensus is that the second Jackbox is the weakest offering the three games.

Wow. I would highly recommend Risen 3 at under $5. If you like a bit of open world fantasy RPG, plus a bit of pirating and quests a plenty then you should really try it. As a Piranha Bytes fan boy, I'd rate it at Skyrim in quality, but I understand that most people's take on Euro Jank will mean they rate it lower. Still a fiver. There's a lot for ya money there.
