Isn't the firmware still in preview?Well reports are that Soma won't start, so I'd say they were right to be worried and make it optional.
There you go.

Sorry I didn't mean to insinuate it was fake, I was just intrigued as I haven't seen that before, it's honestly a phenomenal improvement!
Thanks for the video!
Do you have Hand of Fate and/or Ziggurat?
Ah yeah. Well hopefully someone at DF gets a code or is accepted into the beta.Well in theory it would benefit games with a dynamic resolution given Sony has officially come out and mentioned it unlocks the additional GPU performance, however it's hard for people that aren't Digital Foundry to test as thoroughly to see whether it has ultimately improved the resolution in demanding scenes. The amount of time to go through so many scenes and pixel-count is quite considerable I think.
Saying that, I do believe Digital Foundry will eventually get around to doing it though.
Its one of the best looking games this gen, absolutely.omg so this is the game everyone shits on!
The art direction seems mindblowing!
Does it have a good story and combat ?
Sorry, you're right, you must have an intimate understand of the PS4 architecture.Isn't the firmware still in preview?

I wonder if we're going to start seeing patches just to unbreak Boost mode ;pUmmm at least one game is broken.
Doesn't P5 have Pro enhancements? If so, then the answer will be no.
Issues like this wouldn't originate in the firmware though, they would need to patch the games to remedy it.Isn't the firmware still in preview?

Fucking finally.
Lol at their "would break compatibility".

I'm downloading Deus Ex and The Order 1886. Deus Ex had some serious dips in the opening level. Is The Order 1886 capped 30?

Well consideringly gta 5 is based on code writtens for ps 2 originally and 5 only has few things different from the ps 2 games like modern shaders and such, they could probably run this remaster at 90-120 fps with no dorps tbh.I dont think so .
GTA 5 designed mostly for X360 CPU in mind , remaster didnt add any more physical effects etc. Just increase over pedestrians and more objects on screen etc. I am sure PRO can 60 fps easily.
I'm guessing this was probably not in a stable enough state to be available at launch.

Seconded, we need to know how EDF plays.EDF 4.1 ? Please please please ?
It's more about their SDK libraries. In any case, they can't release an update like this with permanent speed boost if it crashes some games. The only fix they can do here on their end is apply a boost blacklist to the games that crash, which I doubt they'll be doing now. They'll leave this as an option, and it will be off by default - easiest thing they can do, and fine for most people.PS4 architecture...
It's X86. Shit ain't rocket science.
Was curious about this one. The cut scenes seemed to be the biggest drops. Sometimes for no reason. Did you test some random ones?So after my dragon age test I think I can conclude it is a smooth 30fps,I didn't notice any drops.
Destiny can drop framerate in the new DLC, most noticeable on Wrath of Machine, particularly Zamboni section, sometimes severe enough to crash the game. It's because the upped the enemy count drastically in the new DLC as it wasn't on last gen consoles while still using the same old engine.Destiny was already a locked 30fps game, but it did improve on the load times.

Just the beginning 25 minutes since I lost my old save file. https://youtu.be/Xm7VA7mPsxsWas curious about this one. The cut scenes seemed to be the biggest drops. Sometimes for no reason. Did you test some random ones?

Both of those games aren't worth testing man. Deus Ex has been Pro patched twice and runs very, very well now and The Order is capped and pretty much unwavering in terms of framerate.
Has Dark Souls 3 been tested? If not, any specific areas with massive FPS hits I should check out?
Mankind Divided has a pro patch already, which does better than base PS4 in geometry heavy areas. TO1886 is pretty much locked 30FPS already.I'm downloading Deus Ex and The Order 1886. Deus Ex had some serious dips in the opening level. Is The Order 1886 capped 30?
Has anyone tested Hitman? It has an unlocked framerate, should be a very good game to test.
Isn't the firmware still in preview?
There you go.
oh. my. god.
Navigating the Witcher 3 inventory no longer makes me want to pull my hair out.
Please!Quote if you have PS4 Pro and don't have a code
There's no beating around the bush here - Lichdom is a game that rarely manages to deliver a frame-rate north of twenty frames per second. In fact, the PlayStation 4 clocks up an average frame-rate of just 15fps across the run of play, with dips as low as 10fps. On top of that, frame-time latencies can be astonishingly high with some remarkable stutter. We've run the rule over a multitude of titles since we started frame-rate testing console games back in 2008 - and we're pretty sure we've never seen anything quite as bad as this.
