so rumor has it big game altering additions to gta online are coming to an end. the current team has been split up for other duties and a skeleton crew is available for upkeep and small updates. i don't know how i would feel if online stops getting gameplay updates, but i do know its come a long way since the start of it all so i'm grateful for that. i'm actually hopeful we'll get las venturas and san fierro as paid add-ons somewhere down the line. even the similarly rumored gta online world that would include liberty city and north yankton is exciting. so many future opportunities.

there may be a lack of direction after the ouster leslie benzies. they may not want to kill the golden goose but a lack of leadership could make it feel the same regardless.

a buzzard is essential to go along with a ceo office, then you can spawn one next to you on demand. a fast car, zentorno or whatever else you can afford. everything else just join other players (contact missions, ceo work, mc work, races, adversary modes, heists, whatever pops up on your phone and looks interesting) and have fun discovering the game. that would be my advice, not the most efficient but a game as big as online needs time to be discovered i think. or use this guide if you want information overload.

Thanks for this, I'll have a read of the guide

Sorry for intruding (just transferred to PC), but are there any PC GAF crews or an unaffiliated active crew you can recommend? Thanks :)

Loving this game but it can be extremely frustrating too, waiting in a lobby for like 5-10 minutes to be kicked out, or getting a partner who has no intention of winning whatever game you're playing (I had a 2vs2 tank battle and my guy just raced around on a super bike getting blown up)
I also had a Lamar mission which took ages for me and some dude to finish, then wh n we finally did and spawned back into the map, he 1 punch KO'd me for no apparent reason.

When it's good it's great though.

Haha yeah man. It's classic GTA to just finish a mission and kill everyone you've played with. It always makes me laugh even if I'm killed first.
The best missions are the heists. If you can find a couple of people you know to do it with anyway. Otherwise people just get frustrated and leave.

I find it incredibly hard to believe Rockstar would willingly kill a cash cow even with the next RDR around the corner.

What I get from that article is Take 2 doesn't want the cash cow to end and Rockstar is ready to move on to other projects and had already planned on it to end at the Import/Export DLC. So now they're just going to be putting out stuff to make Take 2 happen even though they now have a much smaller team on it since their plans were to move most people away.

boy do I regret buying the vehicle warehouse near the the airport. what a dumb idea, even for time switched solo sessions. gonna take fucking ages to recoup that money. Not sure I'll bother.

I'm actually quite happy with the fact that La Mesa is located rather well despite being the cheapest warehouse. According to my CEO computer I made about 700K from the import/export business so I'm almost halfway getting back my investment. Though to be fair it's not just about the money, I just want to get some of those special vehicles at a good price.

Yeah I feel the same way in regards to it's location, I love that it's literally right off the freeway even if it is over on the far east side of town (while my office is near the beach). Sure it might take me a bit longer to do those exports that end up near Chumash but it sure is a much smoother process, and if I'm in the lobby solo the alleyway through the Fridgit place (or whatever it's called) makes for a good spot to wait and take out all the sultans without any risk.

FWIW, if you're selling a car in a solo lobby, you can pick it up with a cargobob and fly high enough that the AI cars never spawn.

I forgot to mention that the worst thing about the LSIA one is that the buzzard spawns on top of the fucking freeway for some reason rather than in the massive space next to the warehouse so I have to drive to go and get it

dunno if that's similar for any of the other ones. plus the drive to export the vehicles is arduous

Yeah but where's the fun in that :p, I wanna "gone in 60 seconds" this stuff, not chauffeur it around on a whirlybird.

The buzzard (like PVs) will always spawn out of line of sight, what I do is turn my camera and look in the direction I don't want it to spawn and it's usually enough to get it in a good location. The La Mesa warehouse has issue with spawning the buzzard under the train track overpass if you're not careful so I know the frustration (although obviously getting it out from under a bridge is easier than getting to it up on an overpass).

Yeah no issues with spawning the buzzard at the Mesa warehouse. One time it spawned under the tracks like said, but it was easy enough to get out of there. My office is Maze Bank West and that's hardly a 1 or maybe 1,5 minute flight from my warehouse so all in all it's a pretty good location.

The other day I also had two friends help me exporting cars in a solo lobby. Just did one drive of three high range cars, that's some quick money right there. Though quite deservingly so after all the investments I made by bringing cars in. There are times I come into the warehouse with 13K in damages

Looks like the new deals are now live, no newswire or Twitter post yet. I can see 25% off the Pegassi Osiris, Cargobob, Turreted Limo, Buzzard, and Principe Diabolus.

Hmm 25% off the cargobob is interesting. Seems like it's quite usefull for the import/export stuff. On the other hand, it would just be another investment I'd first have to earn back by doing missions.

Decided on spending some of that glitch money from a few weeks ago. Bought Maze Bank West and the cheapest vehicle warehouse for some import/export fun. Managed to make about 200K with it by sourcing and selling three vehicles taking maximum risk with delivering. Quite fun stuff to do.

Really Rockstar. Fucking two weeks after I finally decide to invest in becoming CEO and getting a vehicle warehouse too.

This is why I'm always scared to spend money at all in this game, this has been haunting ever since.

Yeah when it comes to stuff like that I only hold off for possible sales if it's something I can live without. When it comes to stuff like the office and vehicle warehouse they have the the benefit of being able to make the money you spend back with a little effort so I don't mind spending the full price.

Although when I decided a while back I would rather have the Lombank office I didn't have a problem waiting for a sale as it's not like I didn't already have an office, and I didn't feel like shelling out 3 million just to swap locations. Unfortunate thing is that when I swapped today I held off on repurchasing the office decor I had and the accommodation room as that alone would have increased the price by 1-2 million. In the end I spent around 700k after trade in which was a much easier pill to swallow.

Now I'll either wait for the office upgrades to go on sale or until I just don't mind shelling out the full price for those upgrades.

Still waiting for the office garage to go on sale, can't currently justify spending 1.1 million on something that'll make the space provided from two of my 10 car garages obsolete when I only have 30ish cars atm :p

Finally bought a Cargobob so I guess there's that. Are there some multiple car exports where you don't get an option to modify them because the one I did earlier just started the job without having a chance to do so.

Time to transfer your X360 and PS3 characters over to next-gen if you haven't. As these guys point out, Rockstar is doing this likely to shut down the last avenue of modding your way to $GTA millions. They get hacked money on Xbox 360 for example and then character transfer to Xbox One. Also got myself a Buzzard with this sale!

If you sell a collection it doesn't let you mod them and instead the "bonus" you get at the end each person receives, whereas when you just say sell 4 random top ends (or whatever) the CEO is the only one making profit from the sale while the associates are only getting the 5-6k or however much every so often.

Basically collections benefit the boss and team while non collections benefit the just the boss.

Oh, I see... That was the first time I've delivered more than one car.

I'm trying to completely fill my 40 car garage with cars. Will this mean I get all the collections? Or is it just pot luck?

I'm currently trying to max out my sultan rs and was wondering if its worth the investment, or if I should just go for a super car.

If you're going for pure speed a super car is always the way to go. I don't really care myself since I'm not into racing all that much. Only have a Elegy Retro and Armoured Kuruma myself. Fast enough to get around the map for my taste.

EDIT

Just wondering, I currently own Maze Bank West and La Mesa. Are there any major advantages to gain if I switch offices?

I was wondering about this.. I'm debating whether to move to an office in the Finance district as it would be more central to my cargo warehouse and my vehicle warehouse. I think that would be the only benefit, everything else in terms of whats inside the office will be the same.

Although, I would probably miss going to Maze Bank West and witnessing all the carnage by other CEOs and their respective teams. Having to duck out the way of bullets, drive-bys, rockets and mini-guns whilst trying to get into your office is somewhat fun.

From my experience, it's simply a matter of location and whether or not your other important buildings (i.e. Warehouse, House/Apartment, etc.) are nearby to facilitate quicker movement between them.

Yeah it's all just personal preference really, I swapped to Lombank simply because I like the view provided out the window (office and garage) compared to my old office which was MBW. It's also nice that they're right next to each other so it's not like I had to really alter how I play in regards to CEO business.

Out of the two MBW definitely has the best unintentional driveway though, which I will miss :p

I upgraded from Maze Bank West to Maze Bank Tower. That area around Maze Bank West and Del Pierro Apartments I refer to as "douchebag alley," because it seems like that's where every douchebag in GTA Online likes to congregate. Moving to Maze Bank Tower thankfully got me away form that (although sadly, my Cocaine Lockup is right near there because it's the only one in the city).

Maze Bank Tower has a few other advantages (one block from a motorcyle clubhouse, two blocks from AmmuNation, raised carriageway so doesn't see a lot of 'through traffic', and because it's the tallest building in the game, not only is it easy to find without using the GPS, it's also high enough that if you leave via helicopter people can't lock you instantly from ground level.

I like the central location now that I use it as my spawn point - it's close to my MC clubhouse, and closeish to my cargo warehouse and car warehouse. As I said, the only downside is distance from my cocaine lockup (although even that isn't too far).

Remember that there's a cooldown on crate missions, so you won't find a huge advantage to having your office closer to your warehouse, but there's nearly no cooldown on sourcing Import/Export cars, so it's nice to be closer to your car warehouse.

the best I can get is for it to spawn underneath the roof of departures, which requires a drive or blowing up a couple fences to reach. better than it being on the overpass though I guess! thanks to some generous randoms in heists I'm pretty much back to where I was before I bought it, and have the accommodation in the CEO building so when I'm feeling lazy I set my spawn point there and switch sessions when I don't mind putting up with the joy of the general GTA community so it's less of a fuss now.
