I did it. I did the thing.

7.5/10. Probably will not play NG+. Legitimately do not understand the near-universal 10/10 praise this game gets. Not to say that it's bad by any means, but it's far from 10/10. Joker is my favorite Persona protagonist by far. Dungeons felt padded to all fuck. Game was paced like ass. Yusuke and Akechi are both bae. And yaaas @ that soundtrack.

That was my very well-articulated and lovingly crafted review of Persona 5. I hope you all enjoyed and found it informative.

Holy shit, the
Shadow Okumura fight
has to be the most annoying fight to go through. Especially if you end up dying towards the end. Having to go repeat all of that after getting one shot by a special attack is so annoying. I gave up after losing 5 times in a row.

I really don't think every instance of this should be criticized as something that shouldn't be in the game. The scene you're referring to, in particular, was pretty good, despite it starting off questionably.

At about... 30 hours.... in Palace 3..... I think.

Don't have the Guts to show Akihiko's Dad a paper bag in the Airsoft Store.

Don't have the Guts to call Becky.

But I do have the Guts to stand up for my friends and change a very corrupted society because I want to end people's suffering.

Love this game :)

I'll agree that it started out hilarious but then it needlessly crossed the line.

5th dungeon:
For the third got guy I needed to get the ID from, none of the robots in that area said anything useful... Was I supposed to go to a different room of that type and see what the other robots said? Is this dungeon going to be lots of backtracking from here on out?

Temper confidant:
I hit 9 with Kawakami and asked her to still spend time with me...I didn't lock myself out of any other max confidants, did I?
I didn't think that would commit me to anything since I just ranked up to 9 and wouldn't get max the same day.

Death confidant:
I have Takemi at 7...
Is there some way to trigger her wanting to do another test? Right now the only options with her are just buying stuff. She hasn't texted me about any trials in a couple of weeks.

Edit: I heard Futaba say "Let's go Joker!" and it sounded awfully like Asahi from SMT4 Apocalypse saying "Let's go Nanashi!" Sure enough, same voice actor.

trying to complete the compendium is so expensive. Trying to get all the normal fusions out of the way slowly so I can just summon them for the advance fusions which I've only done 3 of so far. -.-

Just double check what confidant level your on so you're sure you're looking at the right section, and you'll be fine. And be sure to read every text you get from Mishima so you don't miss out on any requests.

But that's the thing that I would expect from
a compatriot of Shido's.

There was discussion about Ann in the spoiler thread about her role as a femme fatale, and I think this is one of the scenes that exemplifies it perfectly. She's strong enough as a person and conveyed as such as a character that she's able to deal with it.

5th dungeon boss is driving me nuts. Got the final form down to about 5% once and then
ran out of time. Every other time I can get up to about when the two big green guys show up and I inevitably can't keep up with the Sacrifice orders and get wiped between a self destruct and Megaton hit even if I defend

Thinking about dropping down to Normal for this fight.

The best-case scenario is probably that we get another Persona in 2-3 years; that's the distance between Persona 3 and 4. But this is a different era, and at minimum it probably takes longer to create new assets because of the higher quality demanded by the HD era and the fact that dungeons are no longer procedurally generated, Mementos aside. And then there's the question of who would even work on the next mainline game, given that the Persona team is moving to Project Re Fantasy.

So yeah, eight years.

Final battle:
After going back and picking up Yoshitsune and a few other higher level persona before doing the final battle again...I feel like Yoshitsune kind of breaks the game. I dropped Yaldabaoth in like 3 turns. Feels like I'm cheating here.

The Caroline/Justine fight is NG+ only, you get the option to do it after the second Palace opens up.

Arrived at the 7th palace. Regardless of my feelings regarding their content, it's always neat to see what each one will look like.

OMG this mid level boss in palace five wiped me :(

I think MC should just be buffs/debuffs and weakness attacks. I need to really utilize morgana to heal more.

Does Makoto gain any useful healing abilities?

I'm pretty sure I won't be maxing the confidants. I'm following the gamefaqs guide though I'm so behind on many S. Links and can't even remember where I deviated so much. Literally all I didn't do that it said was to finish the first dungeon in one day, and I finished in two, but I guess that was enough to screw me hard. Guess I'll focus on the party members, my stats are all level 4 so maybe I can still pull through (though I bet there will be like one I won't be able to max).

So is it me or are some of these battles just absolutely cheap as fuck? Near the end of the game I think? (12/24)
and I'm fighting the "Apocalyptic Guide" and this shit is absolutely stupid. Every time I get some damage on him he summons a pair of angels and they just cast fucking recarmdra and he's back at full. The fight isn't even hard it's just completely drained my SP and will to live because I've got 0 ways to actually win at this point. At least as far as I can tell because I have no idea how you're supposed to win this fight.
