Touhou Kobuto V: Burst Battle will launch for Switch in addition to the previously announced PlayStation 4 and PS Vita versions, publisher NIS America announced.

The Switch version, like the PlayStation 4 version of the game, will be a physical and digital release, while the PS Vita version will be a digital-only release.

To “accommodate launching on the additional platform,” the game has been delayed fro mits previously announced July release to September 5 in North America and September 8 in Europe.

Oh wow. Looks like it could've easily been a 3DS game, even if it was a Vita game to start. Still, it being 3D caught me by surprise, thought they were all 2D or something.

no chance, the main touhou games are solely the work of zun, he wont allow anyone but himself to work on them, not even to create official english patches.

The mainline games are all 2d scrolling shooters.

They are worth playing, and I would pay money for. This, however, looks garbage.

On the other hand, I'm quite glad touhou isn't out because I don't fancy breaking my switch in frustration!

There's all kinds of genres and games.

There's:

- a great roguelike dungeon crawler (seriously, it's great)
- an awful Metroidvania
- an interesting, but short-lived and unbalanced overhead fighter/shooter hybrid
- a somewhat decent Ys clone
- a 3D/VR fighter (this game)

Importers? I believe no one was even aware that this game existed until NISA announced its localization. Weird decision by NISA but I suspect this wasn't their idea. Sounds like the devs hired them for localization.

I wonder if NISA is going to try and pick up Touhou Genso Wanderer Reloaded for Switch as well? I believe Aqua Style ported the game but hasn't released it yet.
