The exclusive content for the most part was really good for PS4 owners. Hawkmoon was one of the best weapons in the game and Exodus Blue was one of the best PVP maps in the game. Hawkmoon was nerfed when Xbox owners got it (lol).

Nice to see some love for Exodus Blue. The middle control point was one of my favorites to do the strategy I mentioned below.

God, all this Nightstalker talk has me praying that the Taken King subclasses will be in this game.

Maybe they're saving them for an E3 reveal or something... if there are only two subclasses per class at launch again that'll be pretty weak.

for destiny 1 players:

how important was the PS4 exclusive content? from what i've read xbox one players are still missing some exclusive content related to rise of iron?

i'm thinking of buying on PC, which is already delayed, so you know i'm willing to wait, but i don't like the idea of PS4 having content for a whole year before i'm allowed to play it just because I use a different platform
Hawkmoon was king in both design and use in PVP/PVE... I did my flawless trial using Hawkmoon to two headshot kills... it was awesome.

The PVP exclusive map was better than most non exclusives.

4th Horseman while not being a badass weapon like Hawkmoon it was a killer boss machine in arc damage... in few seconds you could kill bosses.

I think the exclusive content was pretty good and heavy used by community (at least Hawkmoon).

The whole "You lose your powers and now you need to reclaim them!" bit makes me feel like they might be gone. Seeing as those were made to feel like the peak of the classes' power.

Im guessing Sunbreaker is either gone or they are drastically altering the super because the warlock Dawnblade super looks functionally identical to throwing hammers, just, you know, with a sword instead.

Always there from day one until the best artifact ever! It's the only one I use.

That's actually hilarious. I just googled what the Sprint cool down was. All this time I just thought it was either my controller or lag when i had to hit the Sprint button a few times to get it going.

Sprint cool down was one of the more secret baffling decisions by Bungie in destiny. People never really talked about it outside the core community. Thank the Traveler it's gone.

That's the first thing I thought when I saw Dawnblade in action. I was like "uhh, that's just Hammer of Sol...".

And come to think of it, the new roaming part of Fist of Havoc is basically the Suncharge perk from Hammer of Sol...

Yeah, I guess it's either gone or redone. Hopefully the latter.

Uhhh rip grimiore?
"The answer to that question is 'no' and the reason it's 'no' is because we want to put the lore in the game," Cotton told me. "We want people to be able to find the lore. All the story is told through the Adventures, it's told through the characters in the world, it's told through the campaign and it's told through scannables you find throughout the world."

I don't know much about GPUs, but if I were looking to upgrade my GPU to run Destiny 2 at 60fps 2560x1080, would a GTX 1060 be a safe bet?

I would be coming from a GTX 750 Ti.

Exodus Blue is one of my favorite D1 maps. Its also one of the ones I hate the most on bad days. lol

I do wonder what maps will be brought over.

Vertigo is a personal favourite, and it'd be neat to see that map with the new backdrop given Mercury's shattered status.

Also with every PVP mode being 4v4 all of the map designs should be excellent. Perfect scaling and flag placements.

So my max grimoire score means nothing now?
It never really meant something except for those crazies who put a minimum requierement for one's grimoire score in their LFG listing lol

I hope Bungie doesn't go too crazy showing off exotics before launch. The ones we've gotten a look at are cool but I want to still have the "WTF IS THAT?" reactions at launch when I get one.

Yes the 1060 is a fantastic card for the price my son play many games at 4K with it and many at 1440 or 1080 maxed out. He has the EVGA 1060 6gb superclock. Fantastic card

I hope there is a form of Grimoire still. Meaning stats that are tracked and the bonuses you get for killing enemies, playing PvP, using certain weapons, etc.

100% agree. I hope they do not show any more exotics.

I missed on Destiny 1 so I would like to jump in Destiny 2, if possible.

However I am a bit miffed on the absolute certainty that, if I chose to join early on this game, not long afterwards this game will be showered with so many add-ons/"expansion packs" or what-have-you so it might have been better not to join it early but instead later on?

This video is long but Briar Rabbit says that the build shown was 3-6 months old (I would guess it's a mix of various stable builds).

Part of the fun is discovering things along with the rest of the community. Getting it later on is more content for the money but also you miss out on a lot of cool community moments. Personally I prefer a paid expansion model instead of a subscription fee.

On top of that some of the raids and stuff may be ignored if you play them late and some of the loot drops won't be as relevant.

People think they're getting more content by joining late, failing to realise that older content becomes less and less relevant over time, meaning you miss out on activities like older raids because it's not part of the current endgame meta. So if you really want to play this game, i recommend joining sooner than later.

There are already 2 dlcs announced. Probably (i hope) more to come. Destiny needs content drops from time to time. And meaningfull content won't be free.

If you join later you won't experience the content while it's still fresh. Beating Gary two years later won't feel as good.

Bungie really needs to create an emote wheel so that we can use the dpad for consumable shortcuts, assuming there are still consumables in D2.

if they just made it that when you ran out of ammo and have ammo packs you can just long press reload to use the ammo pack

that'd be good

Yeah, I like that idea as well. An emote wheel would be nice though because it gets tedious having to equip an emote you want to use at that moment in time. For emotes, we should have a wider selection available to perform.

No cross save? Fuuuuu. This kind of reduces my chances of double dipping on the pc version even though it seems like it will be the best one

That.............. is actually a very good point.

Huh.

Wanna see how powerful the healing buff is? Go to 8:40.

While this guy is a damn good player the healing buff has no delay. Constant heal. And you get over shield with it? Fuck...

I recommend watching the whole video good showing of pvp with someone decent.

Fuck warlocks

It's one of my favourites too: I didn't know it was PS4 exclusive though until now (lol at me and my 1000 odd hours haha).

Can't wait to see some more maps in the Beta, midtown looks fun too: Countdown looks intense!
