My Collectors Edition code keeps bringing up the Message "The content associated with that download code is not currently available" WTF is going on?

Played the Act 1 on the Switch. Undocked. Game is fantastic. No slow down that I saw so far. From the one level I played the level design seems really solid.

beat the whole game sans any hypothetical all-emeralds true ending

i have lots of thoughts but the most important thing i'm taking away from it is the moment when i got to stardust speedway act 2 and paused the game and just cried because it was beautiful

For people having issues playing with the pro controller, for some reason there is no controller prompt in-game yet.

I was having issues with the Joy Con not disconnecting and forcing the pro controller to be player 2, so I pressed the home menu and went to the controller tab to reorder!

Played through Green Hill and Chemical Plant quickly. Level design so far is great and the remixes add another dimension, it is like Sonic on steroids!

Metal Sonic summoned Silver Sonic from the Game Gear version of Sonic 2.
HOLY FUCKING SHIT THIS GAME WITH THE DEEP CUTS.

Beat it on PS4 just now! best game I've played this year topping P5 which I've waited years for, haven't got all da emeralds but that's a matter of time. Btw how do you drop dash and top speed dash? I've tried holding up and jumping but no dice and tried pressing down and jump when falling any tips?

i'm pretty god damn sure
that fight references literally every single metal, silver, and mecha sonic fight in the whole franchise - aside from the aforementioned game gear silver sonic, there was a reference to "super mecha sonic" from the knuckles route in s3k, the generations fight, hell even the sonic 4 episode 2 fight got a nod in the bounce-all-over-the-screen attack. only thing i can think didn't get referenced is like, heroes, but the metal sonic fight in that is... well, different.

Many Switch games don't have controller prompts, they just assume that you'll play with the current controller setup. What you described is the standard procedure to change the controller setup mid-game in just about any Switch game, from Snipperclips and onward.

I'm on my first playthrough with 4 emeralds so far and I've stopped on
metallic madness
for the night. This game is seriously on point and has a killer soundtrack.

Best Sonic game I've played since Sonic & Knuckles.

And man Flying Battery was super fantastic. I think I enjoyed it more than the original.

You sure did, buddy. Freakin' amazing game already and im only a half hour into.

Studiopolis is a stage done right. So many layers to the stage, a kick ass theme, so many little nooks and crannies.
The silhouette screens, the popcorn machine, the 1920's Robotnik film, the TV van, etc so awesome

Stardust Speedway Boss Spoilers

I hate metal sonic's boss. Its not fun. It take forever for the one move that silver sonic does, and then you have to carefully bounce him into Metal Sonic. Its really dumb,
tails keeps getting in the way one way or another, and every game over means replaying all of the Zone.

Other than that Im having a great time.

The Switch "d-pad" works great for me with this game.

I find it much easier to control in general than my admittedly old memories of the early Sonic trilogy. Feels right.

I just went to download this, forgetting the PC version has been delayed. I'm fine with it, but that was a bit disappointing! Enjoy, console people.

if i recall,
if you just spindash silver sonic while he revs his own spindash it bounces him directly into metal sonic
. i definitely found a reliable way to do it, i think that's it.

I have to say that my initial fears of the Switch D-Pad are pretty much entirely gone. I'd still probably buy a Joy Con variant with one, but the split one is really really solid.

I wonder if thats a reference to
being able to charge spindash him in sonic 2 whilst he was stationary? I remember cheesing him that way.

How big is it guys? Currently in the countryside for a week but have my Switch with me. My phone has a 15gb monthly data limit so I could use it to download this.

I've been critical of 2D Sonic in the past, but I'm really enjoying this so far. Must fight the temptation to explore every path possible in a single run, though.

Downloaded it on Switch and played through the first two zones. Man, the boss fight for
Chemical Plant
made me smile. Especially after
just being introduced to Puyo on the Switch with Puyo Puyo Tetris a few months ago.

Looking forward to playing more tomorrow. So far it's aces.

I had my doubts about this game but the reviews are great. No proper D-pad on the Switch puts me off a bit though. Does it really control that well?

If I love Mario and like Rayman. Is this a good choice for someone who has never played Sonic before?

It went up at 1am here in Colorado.

God this fucking game, it just makes me mad that Team Sonic couldn't give us this for 23 fucking years, and it took people who literally were born into the Sonic community to make a real sonic game.

Like, what the fuck man.

In no reality, did I ever expect Sega to publish or greenlight a proper sonic game.

I think it almost makes me more sad in some ways because the last time Sega made an extremely faithful game was Alien Isolation and that is never getting a sequel. Ever.

I hope the same fate doesn't happen with Mania and instead we get Mania 2 with completely new levels.
I don't even mind the remakes and remixes. The remixes are fucking insane.

Man that UFO Special Stage gets tougher further on.

Did not expect Chemical Plant Act 2's boss at all! Bravo, Sega!
