The complete "Knightfall Protocol" ending for Batman: Arkham Knight.
hahaa
The complete "Knightfall Protocol" ending for Batman: Arkham Knight.
You dont need to purchase anything. Play the end part as long as you want. When the DLC comes out itll give new opportunities for orcs and Mirian that will allow you to finish much easier than when just the base game exists. Thats my plan. Referencing the Tribe DLCs here, not story ones. Thosell come after and Ill want the true ending before them.So I already pre purchased the gold edition. Would that be enough for the true ending or do I need to spend more?
Some reviews bashed 2k for this stuff. Why are the scores giving this a pass?
I see people saying how it's bs that "true ending" is behind grind that you can somewhat shortcut with lootboxes and same question keeps popping into my head.
What about games like NieR? You have to literally replay whole game multiple times from beginning to end in order to unlock "true ending". How that isn't grinding for "true ending"?
If your answer is in lines of "At least NieR is good game" then you are just full of shit as you veeery likely have not played SoW yet.
By creating a monetary incentive for padding a game's length, people are concerned that a game is potentially worsened due to padding designed for paid DLC sake alone rather than purely for the customers best interest. This means maximizing a games ability to extract profit versus longevity for the player benefit only.
Here's the problem with that line of thought though. Every game with a season pass or planned dlc also wants to keep you playing and to prevent you from selling the game, thus, potentially, also having a profit incentive influencing game design.
It's about motive. Without money involved, its down to a developer to create the best experience for their game, so in cases like RPG's there is a history of new game+ which prolongs game length - something that traditionally was part of the base game ie not DLC.

This is a good point. But wasnt the first game knocked on a bit because the nemisis system wasn't fleshed out enough, especially in terms of end game?
People asked for a better use of the nemisis system and it seems the devs did just that. If the boxes can be warned via in game currency, then I see it as a way to make the nemisis system more randomized thus making the end game more enjoyable.
If the boxes were there but weren't able to be purchased via real cash I wonder if people would be nearly as upset.
I'm not the biggest fan of loot boxes/packs, but this implentation doesn't seem nearly as sinister in my eyes considering what the nemisis system is. Say as something like Forza 7.
I can't really say that orcs magically coming into existence via boxes is what I had in mind in regards to expanding the nemesis system. Part of the appeal of that was having enemies that presumably had some kind of history in the world prior to you encountering them, and loot boxes completely take that away by having them just pop in because you got a good roll.
Out of interest how much money would you expect to splash out to get the true ending?
This exists to exploit gambling addictions, some might spend a few dollars, some might spend hundreds.
Guys I don't think you understand the lootboxes here. This isn't your usual .000000001% chance to get the best type of orc thing. The highest tier loot box (6$? 600 gold)) gives a guaranteed 4 Legendary orcs and 1 paper that turns any orc legendary. No rolls or chance involved. The other paid chest (2$? 200 gold) gives 1 legendary every time, and two with a chance to be legendary, in addition to two boosts or training orders.. Unless you want every orc in your army to be legendary, I don't see how you could spend more than 50 bucks.

You dont even need to buy loot boxes for legendaries. Thats the best part.
Dude that is still shit
Why spend them in the first place?
Some reviews bashed 2k for this stuff. Why are the scores giving this a pass?
Legendaries exist in the world and like the guy who said "it takes 40-50 hours to see the endgame if you don't buy lootboxes!1!" whoever said that legendaries only spawn from loot boxes was talking out of their ass.
People should ask themselves that question, and think of another reason than "game reviewers are in the pocket of the publishers".
Not at all, compared to the gatcha games many commenters are comparing too. This is a 100% chance, and a 100% chance plus two unknown chances, for reasonable prices, compared to gatchas. A guaranteed eltie card is madden is 5$ and can be trash. a guaranteed legend is 15$ and can be trash. their guaranteed good cards are 100$. and can still be trash.
I won't. But people who want to
A: know what they're getting
B: Couldn't possibly need to spend hundreds
Those are most peoples complaints, and they are dead wrong.
Legendaries exist in the world by default and can be dominated like any other orc.
Lol at suggesting to make a game with a production this expensive F2P.There's ways to handle this in a more consumer friendly way
1.Dont put MTs in the game
2.Make the game F2P
3.Eliminate lootboxes and let people pick exactly what they want and use the money to fund the DLC free for everyone (Titanfall 2s model)
Your entire argument is basically "Well its not as bad as the other bad exploitive practices", If thats the best defense someone can come up with for something, then that something shouldn't be in the game.
Lol at suggesting to make a game with a production this expensive F2P.

THERE IS VERY LITTLE CHANCE IN THESE LOOTBOXES. 6$ GUARANTEES YOU 5 OF THE HIGHEST TIER. STOP WITH THIS FALLACY OF IT BEING IN PLACE TO MANIPULATE GAMBLERS. THAT IS TRUE OF GATCHA GAMES AND SPORTS GAME'S CARD MODES, BUT NOT THIS.Lol at suggesting that the richest publishers in the history of the industry need to exploit gambling addictions to make money.

People already spent $60 or more in the game and they have to spent up to $50 more to access everything?
Even then we dont know how many legendary orcs make the end game easier. Maybe its 2. Maybe its 40. Who knows.

Youre defending paying the price of an entire game just to see the real ending in a timely manner?
You know exactly what you're getting from the boxes. How is it gambling? You're not paying for the chance to get a legendary you're straight up getting a legendary.Lol at suggesting that the richest publishers in the history of the industry need to exploit gambling addictions to make money.
Exactly."I want games to be just as good, and I want to pay less for them"
60$ is less today than in 2006. And games cost far more to make. this game would never have been approved as a F2P, and honestly probably had to have MTs to get a green light. That's what it takes for publishers to make these big games these days. There are some exceptions, especially by first parties, but they are fewer and fewer.
If it is not a form of gambling then why the loot box?
5 keeps, 1 overlord and I believe 5 warlords each. if you had every single one legendary it would be 30. So to make each and every keep completely legendary is 36$ (6$ x 5 orcs per), assuming you find none in the campaign, which you will. Also, I highly doubt you need every keep orc legendary, plus you can get papers to move orcs from keep to keep with Miran, further lowering the amount needed.
SO 36$, max, if you don't play the game at all. 0$ if you play.
