Former Pussycat Dolls Member Kaya Jones Claims The Girl Group Was A Cover For A Prostitution Ring

It’s been a while sing the Pussycat Dolls have been in the spotlight, but due to all of the allegations coming out in Hollywood about executive abuse of power, one of the former members is speaking out about the truth of the group. Kaya Jones sent out tweets alleging that she “wasn’t in a girl group,” but rather a prostitution ring. She also calls out the “den mother from hell” and asks her to confess why another girl from one of her groups has committed suicide.

Of course if this is all true, the “den mother from hell” would be Robin Antin, who was the choreographer for the Pussycat Dolls. The suicide Kaya mentions in the next tweet is in reference to Simone Battle, who was a member of another Robin Antin group, G.R.L. Battle hanged herself and was found dead on September 5th–she was said to have suffered depression due to “financial issues.”

Kaya elaborated on the story further saying that much like other Hollywood victims describe, her and the other members of the group had to choose either leaving the group and abandoning their dreams, or sticking through it to hopefully make it big.

Jones claims to have tried coming out with this same information multiple times before, but nobody listened or did anything about it. She’s hoping that with the current state of the news and Hollywood coming undone, people will actually hear her story this time.

This is very unclear. An actual prostitution ring or the equivalent of one because their handlers were making all the money off them?

Holy shit what???

I mean, the words are shocking, but the article doesn't really get into anything specific. But I suppose that it's just based off of these initial tweets, so time will tell.

EDIT: She does mention "abuse" in one of her tweets though.

Ugh...these rumors were flying back in the early 2000's when Robin Antin's groups were all over the place
including some very specific rumor surrounding her and Nicole Scherzinger that I'm not going into here
. I wouldn't be surprised if all of it were true.

There was always something off about them. Even being their target demographic(young heterosexual male in high school) when they came out. Could never put my hand on it.

She does say "abuse" and tie it specifically to the current Hollywood scandals, so i don't think it's a metaphor.

Given some of what we've heard about what happens to child stars, I could imagine something similar goes on in the boy-band/girl-band universe.

Kaya was never a part of any phase of the musical recording group known as the Pussycat Dolls, but was a long time dancer and singer in the burlesque act.

My truth.I wasn't in a girl group. I was in a prostitution ring.Oh & we happened to sing & be famous. While everyone who owned us made the $

This is talking about the money. It certainly seems like an apt comparison, but I certainly wouldn't take the literal description, unless she comes out and says it directly.

edit: there you go ^

I think she meant that as a metaphor I'm guessing? Nothing in the article says that and her tweets only talk about how none of them made money.

Edit: that other story explains it much better. It's pretty gross.

She tried to tell people what exactly? I'm guessing there was no actual prostitution, just another case of artists being screwed by the record company and/or producers.

Happened to some of the biggest names in the business, so that's no surprise.

I would not be surprised. I am pretty sure most female and male groups suffer from exploitation on some level, no matter the country.

It pretty much seems like this type of corruption in ingrained in every aspect of Hollywood and stardom culture. It's really sad and angering to hear so many affected by stuff like this.

Is it weird that as awful as it is, if there was any pop group accused of this I'm not surprised it's this one??

Depressing...jeez.

Isn’t there some weird and probably convoluted history where the Pussycat Dolla were it was was basically a ‘high class’ stripping act that became a pop group and the ones in the pop group for the most part weren’t involved in the early history? From the timeline this seems to be from before they went ‘legit’

Cmon you can't just mention that and leave us hanging

They were originally a burlesque act and then did a playboy spread before getting in to music.
