Mission

This mode is for players who want to learn the basics of fighting games, as well as the different combos of each character and the game’s specific systems. Take on prepared missions one-by-one and learn techniques you can utilize later in actual battles. Clearing each mission will earn you proficiency points, which will unlock step-by-step presentations such as “Reviewing What You Learned in COM Battles” and “Challenging Online Battles.” These can be used as guides to play the game’s various modes.

Survival

Fight one match after another versus the CPU with a limited pool of health in this mode. See how far you can get with your current skills. Try your luck against the extra powerful opponents who show up after a certain number of wins. After you experience the joy of overcoming your own limits, you’ll be winning before you know it! You will recover a limited amount of health after each win, and at fixed stages encounter a difficult opponent that can unleash countless powerful skills. Aim for the top in the online rankings.

Training

Practice for any situation in this mode. This mode has command lists with videos and explanations for beginners who may not understand how to operate each character, as well as a wealth of customization features such as “recordings” and “automatic counter-attack settings” for advanced players. The series’ popular “combo recipe save functionality” also returns, which allows you to save the combo techniques you practice.

Versus

In addition to playing side-by-side against friends, you can also play against the CPU, whose strength and character you can determine. On the results screen, you can analyze the match and view a data graph to understand your strengths and weaknesses to utilize them in the next battle. Hone your skills and take on the next battle.

Pfff... This game looks so good !

The more I look at it, the more I want it. Could be the game that bring me back into fighters even if recent experiences show me that spending hours in the lab is not as fun as it was when I was a teenage xD

Still I really like this one. Let's see...

New video detailing offline, online and story modes:

A new Arc System style lobby, now with a side scroller perspective! Seems very fun. I like how each player has a Wanted poster with how much points you will get if you defeated the opponent and his/her badges.

IMO, Guilty Gear already had the best tutorials, but seems like they made even better.

I'm liking the modes in this outside story mode. I wished it was playable.

I wonder if they'll have a beta for this soon?

Hard pass then.
That's fair enough, but you might want someone more knowledgeable before passing it. I'm just speculating based on their past, but I'm not sure about this :messenger_grimmacing_

In any case, the Japanese dub in GG is very bearable. There are no ridiculously high-pitched voices, as far as i remember.
If that can help you in any way.

I will make sure to check. I believe you're right. They would have mentioned a dub long ago. I don't pay for subtitled anime. Never have, never will.

I think Guilty Gear XRD had English dub, and i think it was also quite good actually.

It's also my favorite of the new GG games, it's available on both ps3 and ps4, maybe you might want to check it out.

Online will be empty though.

People who watch english dubs watching less anime is pretty great. I wish less games and anime would get English dubs.

So offline is just the non-interactive story?
Not even M.O.M. anymore? A mission-mode? A quest mode? Anything?
And arcade mode with a bit of story that I think changes based on your performance

The Gallery and GG World are neat additions. Everything looks good except maybe Mission mode which appears to be just another Training mode, but the Story and Arcade should prove interesting enough for offline play. Maybe they will add more missions or another mode alongside the DLC characters in the after launch updates.

I really dislike the gaas aspect of every new fighter.
I just wish they'd release everything at launch. Who cares about having dozens of characters anyway, just make fewer and more different.

Last Bronx is my favorite fighter ever and it has 8 characters, and i love it

I'm sure they'll bring more of the Xrd cast over, through DLC but I'm bummed that out of anyone from that game, they omitted Jack O and Elphelt.

If they bring Robo Ky and/or I-No back they can win my heart. I'm a Pot main so it doesn't matter much. My guy is in.

Didn't say I wouldn't watch it. I said I wont PAY for it.

Ramlethal is gonna make me cheat on Wonder Woman isnt she?
Dem thighs dont lie.
She's a fun character to play, as well.

Too bad she has the worst personality out of the three valentine sisters. And by that I mean she has no personality. Elphelt and Jack O were both great in that department.

Can only hope she developed a personality between games.
She has a really cool character design id hate for it to be wasted on a non character still.

I thinks its great Xrd got an english dub. I enjoyed the story mode. Then they went cheap with the sequels. They want to go cheap, yet charge the same. Fuck that.
I hear ya. I got used to the English voices in Sign but didn't mind going back to japanese in Rev and Rev2. It would've been great to play through the story with the same voice actors, or at least to get the english voices back in Rev2 which is supposed to be the "ultimate" version of Xrd.

It wouldn't even bother me so much if it didn't have some long story mode that plays out like an anime. But it does. If you are going to do that then pay the money for the Dub. I'm not going to abide being treated like a second tier customer while paying the same price.
