For some reason this game always keeps getting pushed to the back of my mind, then some new screens like this pop up and I remember it's coming out pretty soon.

Oh yeah, looks stunning. Can't wait to check it out.

Has Clover announced anything for PS3 yet? Maybe we'll see something at E3.

Looks like Zelda but with a wolf...

Oh wait..

Wasn't there an interview with either Aonuma or somebody from Clover in which they said something like "Yeah, I saw [the other game] and my first thought was that they're ripping us off!" I can't even remember which one it was, but I'm pretty sure I read something like that.

GI: Can you describe the team’s reaction when Nintendo first announced that Link would be able to transform into a wolf in Twilight Princess and that it would feature predominantly into the gameplay?

Inaba: Yeah, actually I was at E3 myself and I saw that live with my own eyes. And to be honest, at first I thought, “Those sons of…. What are they doing?” Had we announced it very much prior to that then I would have felt really disappointed as if they were ripping us off, but I think that the timing shows that they may have had that idea before. I don’t think that they’re directly trying to rip us off or anything. As a creator, I’d prefer that they didn’t do that because it kind of takes away some of our thunder. But no hard feelings. I really like Zelda games so I’m cool with it.

I wonder if anyone but Capcom wants this game on PS2. :lol

My vote is for a Cube or Rev. version as well. But I'll be picking it up on PS2 because that will probably never happen.

So any idea on how import friendly this game will be?

I muddled my way through the TGS demo without any help, but it really wasn't as doable as say Wind Waker was in japanse. I'll be giving it a go though, it's less that 3 weeks away now and I already want it bad so waiting for the english release is totally out of the question =P

I think the game will be text-heavy, so I'd definitely wait for the US version.

If you really hate yourself, check out the new commercial here.. I stopped half-way through, since it was showing so much awesome new stuff and I didn't want to spoil the game to myself any further. I'm not watching any new videos until it's out!

Said it before and I'll say it again.

This game was made for the Revolution. They should just delay it and launch it with the system.

People who say this game is ugly are wrong. And people who say they don't want Okami are lying.

IGN will give it 7.6

IGN will randomly give this game a 9.9/10.
GS will give this game a 8.5/10 to show that they are always cool and calm.

I bet the gamerankings average should be slightly above 90%:)

Okami! PS2!
I hope it plays as good as it looks and that it doesn't end like Auto Modellista...but that's a completely different story I guess.

Too bad the game is just a dmc slash fest :(

lol. nice try though.

to all people begging for a gamecube release or delay until revolution: suck it up, buy sony.

I cannot wait for the english version release (muddling through the japanese demo was a bit hard really) in my most anticipated title of the year.

I also love the idea of Inaba using the term "those sons of bitches!"

Why would we want the game on our gamecube? It's perfect fine on the PS2 and chances are it will sell more there so it's also good for them.

I don't want my hands to be crippled when I play it (goddamn DS2). I'm holding out hope that Capcom learnt from their mistake announcing the PS2 port of RE4 before it came out on the cube. Let it get a tonne of sales on the PS2 then bring out a cube/rev version.

While I wouldn't want it to be a slash fest, it would be interesting if it had a deep enough fighting system to keep everything fresh and fast.

In any case, I'm getting this on day one. :D

That's bad for you man. Personally pretty much any controller is fine in a way and his having flaws when you think about it. I don't like the button setup and the analog shoulders of the GC controller and i'd sacrifice it's comfort superiority to get a more all purpose button setup that is working fine whatever game you play.

Anyway, to each his own but just by the state of the Gamecube right now (read: besides Zelda it's finished) porting Okami would not be a good business decision. The chances for that happening are infinitely small.

I love the look of this game. The gameplay looks boring and like it doesn't flow well at all.

move a step, pause, paint stroke over enemy, move a step, pause, paint stroke over enemy, repeat, repeat, repeat, fall asleep.

Ummm, you do know the battles are like any other action game and you fight normally without painting right? Ie. move a step -> do a jump kick lifter into air combo aka. ninja gaiden -> pull down the brush and slice him in half in mid-air.

Wait a sec. I've been out of the loop. What is this game??

It's Zelda for a non-Nintendo console and it's really damn good and better than Zelda in a few ways.
