can someone suggest a good strategy/sim game like tiny monsters, without the waiting and micro transactions
But, my backlog is....
...Oh, OK then. One more on the pile!
Does anyone have any tips? The single "a"s and "I"s are easy enough, and I usually try to build on 2 and 3 letter words from there.
HowStuffWorks now supports Gamecenter and has achievements.
What's the difference Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies and Call of Duty: Zombies? The later is on sale for $1.99
Also one for SmokeyDave, Trainz Simulator is on sale for 99cents on iPad.
Saw Enscripted praised a few pages back. I'd never heard of it, but I checked it out and had to have it. I've always wanted to do those cryptograms in the newspaper, but have never had the patience to do it with pencil.
For those not in the know, Enscripted ($.99) is a cipher word puzzler. Each puzzle is a quote from a movie, and that movie's title, which the player must solve by swapping letters until the quote finally makes sense. You get a new puzzle everyday for a year, and the old ones stick around too, so you can bounce around between multiple puzzles if you get stuck one.
Confused...why does this have Gamecenter support...you get achievements for viewing stuff?
Correct, viewing articles, do quizzes, listen to podcasts etc.Confused...why does this have Gamecenter support...you get achievements for viewing stuff?
I just bought this game, and it's kind of annoying. I beat the eight provided puzzles in twenty minutes and now I have to wait until tomorrow to get a single new one? What happened to the months of puzzles that have already gone by since the app was released? It's fun but the way it parcels out puzzles is bullshit.
ascension is up on the app store
rad
I finished playing Lost Winds this evening and I can definitely say it's worth the 69p I paid for it. It was short but sweet, took me about 4 hours I guess. It's a really gorgeous metroidvania game and it's simplicity is made up for by it's charm in most places. It's easily the best looking platformer I've played on the iPad, the art style was quite lovely.
The controls were weird to begin with, since for the most part you control the wind rather than the main character. It's clumsy to start with but is good when you get used to it. The only thing that really annoyed me was having to move rocks with the wind and getting caught up in it, leading to a fair amount of frustration. But it passes and you get used to it. When you get the cape in the last section of the game it really opens up though and travelling becomes really fun rather than a chore. I wish the end sequence was a bit longer really, the possibilities of flying around with the cape were never really explored to their fullest.
But all said it was really fun and I'm looking forward to the next one.
I guess a Dungeon Raid iPad version is never happening? It seems to have been out for way too long now, I guess if an iPad version was going to be made it would have been by now.

Just a random thought; the iPad has keyboard support, has anyone ever made a keyboard only game? I guess it wouldn't get through submission at the moment but it would be interesting if apple allowed it, there would be potential for a lot of pc ports. Will probably never happen.

Was it worth it?
edit: beat like a Vita
I bought Crow at full price because of that fucking Kotaku article.
You'll be impressed with how much content is in RR2. The game was gorgeous when it came out, but it's not as uniquely beautiful anymore. The game controls well, but don't expect GT.Is Real Racing 2 actually any good or is it just another pretty face?
That was your own fault.
So, I've been on vacation out of the country for the last week. Because of the mobile switch I can't just jump to my last read post. Any good releases come out this week?
Zynga'd!i got the new draw something update but now i have to give them access to make posts for me on fb. wtf is this shit?
I kind of like the way this looks. Might get at $.99.
What? It is easily still one of the best looking games on ios. I'd be pretty shocked if someone wasn't impressed by it.You'll be impressed with how much content is in RR2. In short, if you're looking for a robust sim racer for your phone/iPad, do it.

Absolutely loving SpellTower again. Currently on top of my leader board. Probably my favorite word game on iOS.

I remember someone posting about this a few pages ago, you're not the only one for sure. Just make sure it's not a phishing attempt.
Not tonight, but last week sometime. Seemed legit.
