Wii-U - Amazon listing UK prices and launch date

I really wish Nintendo had gotten Pikmin ready for launch...but knowing Miyamoto and his perfectionist qualities I guess it will be worth the wait...

I hope the game itself isn't time limited...I would love an open world type pikmin game...with optional side quests/missions.

I'm probably going to get NSMB and Rayman...I'm not too hot on ports although EA can tempt me into Fifa if it does things better than PS360.

Launch consoles are always a bit weird as the games are not the best games and there is always that draught period after a console launches where there is nothing but waiting on games to arrive.

Interesting. I said id never touch another cod but this could be my goto game (online) for when theres the envitable drought.

Not that i dont believe you but wheres the best source to get confirmation of these day one titles.

Still not pre ordered yet though. Really on the fence.

they should let you stay out at night but it becomes much more dangerous.

Thanks to the customer service of Amazon, I now have a £199 Wii U deluxe pre-ordered :D

They have a way for checking that I presume, as the customer rep responded with something along the lines "I've checked the product number of your cancelled pre-order and the current item, and it seems you are correct".

Crap, can you pm me / tell me what you sent them. I'm pretty sure I pre-ordered as well back in June which was also canceled but I can't find any evidence of it in my old orders and I don't have any old emails. Maybe I can bluff my way to a cheaper Wii?

How do you know it's the same product code? I've just checked my old emails, and it just has an order number that leads nowhere

I didn't even have an old order number to go by, so if you have that then it should go even better.

Just make sure you remember the right colour of your previous pre-order, as you might not be able to get the premium one if you previously pre-ordered the white Wii U (you'd still hopefully be able to get the standard Wii U at £199 though)

Aw fuck it! I'm just gonna wait until next year for the awesome bundles instead. Thanks for the advice though. Congrats on the bluffing skills!

Aren't they only charging £300 for the basic Premium? Seems quite a markup for ZombiU given you're not getting NintendoLand. Well, unless they're making their own bundle.

Edit: Just double-checked the description. Yup, no NintendoLand in ShopTo's ZombiU bundle.

First of all you're not entitled to it...it's for Amazon's discretion and it seems CS do it on a case-by-case basis.

Secondly never in any way say stuff that will make a CS reps dislike you...it's the wrong way to go about things. Saying Amazon's X, Y and Z will just make you look like a cock.

Where did I say I'm entitled to it? I was just asking what made my case different.

Just tried with their CS... I had an order back then that was cancelled.
They told me an email is being sent today to all of those who got their preorder cancelled back in June.
I have to wait for the email, they won't tell me more.

I've just tried this and they said they couldn't reinstate cancelled orders so no cheap Wii U for me.
 
just a warning to anyone planning to pre-order with tesco they are taking the payment early off your available balance. Confirmed with my bank's customer service. I have cancelled and kept my Sainsbury's pre-order with 10% off.

I didn't have a problem getting the price changed at all. The rep just checked my old order and told me to make a new order for the premium. He then changed the price. No begging, no convincing. It seems to depend on the different reps and how they handle things.
