Put some humor in there. It's what Mass Effect needs.

I'll do my best, considering everything around ME3 and it's ending there is plenty of material to go with, lol.

Star Wars: Episode 8 by Squiddybiscuit (30 October 2012)

Star Wars: Episode 9 by Squiddybiscuit (30 October 2012)

Lol!
Taking the OT's at minimum 3,5 & 7 years in advance, I'm surprised there isn't a maximum to which you can claim beforehand.

I have read the OP and the last three pages and I am bemused by the lack of WiiU games. Is there any special rule about them or did actually nobody pick them yet?

Path of Exile by BurnOutBrighter (27th October 2012)

Path of Exile is an online-only action RPG, and goes into open beta this December (exact date still TBC), which the developers are treating as a "soft release". When this happens, the game will be free to play for everyone and will have no more character wipes.

With regards to this one.

Someone has already showed interest - perhaps you would like to contact them to either show them you are interested in collaborating OR perhaps they aren't even interested anymore, and would rather you create it.

Either way, let us know of the reslt in this thread.

So, question. Once Skyrim's new DLC (to be announced on monday) rolls around, I'm gonna make a new OT for it as the succesor to Skyrim's, which is nearing 20.000 posts on it's OT2 anyway. I'm wondering if I should make Dragonborn my OT3, and leave it in Community, or go for a full-blown new Dragonborn OT and put it in Gaming, to give it some exposure. What do you guys think?

New threads for new news. Leave dragonborn in community. The DLC thread should go in gaming. No? Otherwise, you'll get everyone making OT14 expecting to be in gaming.

My 2¢ anyway.

Splitting it up seems counterproductive, though.

And Dragonborn is the DLC. I'm planning on making an OT for that and folding Skyrim's OT3 into that, since otherwise the people who post there might never get their questions answered. Essentially making it The Elder Scrolls V: Dragonborn |OT|, posting it in gaming, and once the Skyrim thread is finished (it's about 200 posts away, I think) just linking the discussion to the Dragonborn thread instead of making a Skyrim OT3.

Appologies, I meant Skyrim OT would stay Community, and dragon born should get a thread in gaming since it's new news.

I understand the concern with fragmenting discussion do to the variables you presented, but folding the old OT into the new OT for DLC, just seems like it would set a precedent for other OTs to find a way to do the same and circumvent one of the major reasons community was created in the first place, to clear out already discussed topics from gaming, thus facilitating the ease with which we can find fresh news.

if anything, simply link to the skyrim OT via the DLC OT.

But the way DLC is integrated into Skyrim, I don't see the need to have two different threads on it. 'New news, new thread', yes, but this is a discussion topic we're talking about. For instance, Dawnguard never got an official OT, it was folded into Skyrim's OT2 instead. The side-effect to this was that it never made it to the gaming side, which is why I suggested the above. I just don't see the point on having two threads for what is essentially the same game. You don't go to an OT for news, so I don't see the problem with having the Skyrim/Dawnguard discussions in there as well.

Anyways, when the time comes I'm gonna call in a higher authority to determine the right course of action. We'll see then. Of course, if Skyrim hits an OT3 long before Dragonborn hits (though I don't deem it likely), the point is moot anyway. For posterity's sake:

I don't really follow Skyrim much, I figured it was a big expansion necessitating the need for a new thread - but if it's like you said, that it's pretty much the same game and it coincidentally might release around the same time you would need to make an OT3 - then, no there really isn't a need for a new thread and it would seem most logical to simply make OT3 in community while folding the apparently minor DLC info into there as you did with Dawnguard.

But, yeah, hopefully a mod can clear it up.

From what we heard, it'll be big, but Skyrim's DLC gets folded into the pre-existing world very neatly. It'd be very annoying to have to go from one thread to another for two things that occured in the same game, but one was released a bit later on.

I think the merging of the threads is a good idea, for reasons you've specified.

Make the OT more about the DLC, but link to the previous one just in case anyone wants some Skyrim reference material.

This reminds me I still haven't played the first Skyrim expansion ;_;

Burnonbrighter can take the OP. I'm not going to have time to do it. I have some graphics I could send if you're interested, Burn. PM me if interested.

So, seeing as Far Cry 3 is coming out like 3 or 4 days in the EU before NA, is it ok to launch the OT seven days before the EU date? Or should I wait to launch seven days before the NA date?

Just an update on the Wii U Release Day OT: Having spoken with EatChildren, it's been concluded that a single thread detailing all regional releases (NA, Europe, Japan) will be the best option. I'll be posting the thread soon, and each region will have a separate post.

Nice! Looking forward to it.

Sorry if this is a bit off topic, since there's no thread in OT/Community.

I take it OTs for Off Topic are free for all? I wanna do one for Rise of the Guardians.

I claimed that forever ago, but I would really like to see what you can do with it.

Passing Strike Suit Zero to Durante.

Edit: If you want, I can help out with graphics. Otherwise, all yours.
I missed that, sorry. Please keep it, you followed the project before I even knew about it so you should do the thread!

I will be making the OT for Darkstalkers Ressurection, which will be a digital release featuring Darkstalkers' Revenge and Darkstalkers 3.
