[ARCHIVE UP] The Giant Bomb "We've Got A Wii U" Live Stream

It didn't look like it. The only time I saw it was when they booted Wii mode and used the Wii Shop.

So there are two different stores on the Wii U

What a mess

I was hoping Nintendo taking their sweet time diving into the 'modern era' was because they wanted to do it right, with the usual Nintendo quality.

Hopefully there are significant improvements over the next few months or so

woooooooow! the framerate issues on (some of) these launch games is awful.

It's so disappointing. Even with the short development cycles you'd think it should be at least on par considering the other machines are 6 years old!.

I permanently banned my 6 year old daughter from using the PS4 for mistakenly sending grief reports as it's too hard to watch or talk to her
The Power of 2 (frames per second)

LOL!

I hope for Nintendos sake they can do something with the firmware on this machine to clean up some stuff.

People that keep insisting the Wii U is a next-gen console were probably dropped on their heads as babies.

or maybe just have a more literary definition of what next-gen is

this is effectively a new generation of Nintendo consoles

Suddenly, Jim Sterling's 2/10 doesn't seem so bad.

Man the art, the animation, the stories and such are all so nice but the actual game itself looks meh and its engine is just awful. Jumping on invisible parts of partly thinned platforms looks cheap, and the framerate drops are not release quality whatsoever.

EDIT: ok that was a really dumb question LOL

Once the next gen consoles hit, it's going to be just as much of a leap and look just as dated as Wii was vs. 360/PS3. Nintendo just bought themselves an extra year this time around.

All this stuff does not bode well.

-Framerate problems
-Loading
-General jank
-Etc.

Just playing catchup was not enough. I could see the Wii U damaging Nintendo greatly, if not outright sinking it.

I'll never understand how pro-Wii U people try to deny this. It's an inevitability.
