Tried that djmax clone thing rhythmix on iPad. Fuck am I terrible at this. Any tips? Trying to play things above normal = brain fuck for me :(

Btw getting back to some oldies I bought but never finished. Gunman Clive is pretty awesome still.

Nice, I'll be getting it once I put more money in my online purchases bank account, I think I just run out from that spree and don't want to get my iTunes locked out and unable to get updates etc or I'd get it anyway. Do more, do more!

Edit: is it normal to get the e-mail receipts from Apple a day past the purhcase yet not have the money deducted from my account yet? I thought when they send the e-mail they charge you but that's not happened yet I think. But I'm still not sure I should spend more before making sure, I don't want my account locked when devs might do udpates past xmas etc.

For those who have The Walking Dead on iOS...can you re-download in-app purchases onto multiple devices or does it make you re-buy? Afraid to try it as it looks like it wants to charge me...

As with EVERY OTHER GAME, it's tied to your account. As long as you're signed in correctly on both devices you should be fine. Take a $3 gamble.

So .... I did this a few times last night before I passed out tired. I will try some more tonight. the two main ones I did see was Neptune and some 5 star water elemental. Instead of keeping either, I kept trying. I think I tried 5 times total. Kinda annoying but you have to do what you have to do!

But yeah, iPad+iCade seem like a super easy and decently affordable way to get some arcade cabinet style fun going for people who aren't hardcore enough to make room for and buy or make the real thing, I'm kind of baffled there's so little support for it, from consumers and developers. Sure, it could definitely be cheaper for the quality it offers from what I read, but it's not to bad and it can't be that hard for developers to support it yet they don't even for games that are perfect for it. Isn't the SDK 100% freely available? ION should pimp it more to the right channels, not just as this niche novelty item. Send a couple to every notable developer and App site etc, anything other than waste time on things like the iCade Mobile and Jr.

We made a custom iCade version of our first game Kosmo Spin for one of our office parties... it was pretty damn fun and twitchy. We've talked about releasing that, but we just haven't had the time to touch it up for a release.

We also made a Beat Sneak Bandit build with iCade support (buttons instead of screen tapping), but we couldn't get it to work properly, seemed that bluetooth caused too much lag for rhythm gameplay. Or maybe we just didn't do it properly :p

So, gathering a bunch of games for my iCade that is coming soon. I noticed that a lot of titles I thought I owned were showing up in the Appstore with the price tag. I figured I must have been mistaken and never bought it but now a number of them are showing up saying "This update will be free since you bought the product before". Is this normal now? Usually when I bought something it shows install instead of the price.

Regardless I just went through my purchased history and found about 5 more games I bought in the past that are iCade compatable. Should have a nice list of apps to mess with when it arrives next Wednesday :D

I guess the Facebook group lied (wow what a shocker) and we're on a different schedule as far as event bonuses go. Today they switched the egg machine chances from boosted water gods to boosted earth gods, so expect to see some new things pop out.

lol Oh man, so should I pretty much keep anything 5 star? Or is there something specific (other than the few creatures you listed)

Like power level ... or something like that? maybe I should have kept the water elemental 5*, or Neptune .... lol

No you should still follow that short list. I'm preeeetty confident they'll still do the New Year's promotion though.

Also like half the OT I've written so far is teaching you about save scumming for gods lol

Is "save scumming for Gods" what you have me doing right now? lol

Man it's a pain deleting and re-installing the app each time. And it's a stupid ass training sessions where you can't skip all the windows and fake moves!

Keep trying! I did check on Beat Sneak Bandit while looking for iCade suitable games to see if they supported it. Although I mostly want stuff that make use of the stick and buttons it'd be cool if more worked anyway. Silverfish MAX only uses the stick for example. And others enjoy even one button games like Jetpack Joyride on iCade with blutrol. Isn't bluetooth a standard, people play Rhythm Heaven and such games on Wii without issue, why would the iPad or iCade implementation suffer?

It seems to me ION aren't doing enough to push it as anything more than a novelty item, they should pimp its retro goodness more, provide some incentives for developer support beyond how cool it is and it should help their sales as the more games that support it the more people will find enough value to purchase it and it should become a self sustaining cycle eventually. They should defnitely officially drop the price a little too, bring the full thing to the Core price point or something and make Core cheaper etc. Though I didn't pay full price if it was cheaper I'd get two, for myself also, a core though probably.

They also shouldn't keep making versions with different featuresets. Standardize the amount of buttons available etc. Just at most do one retro range like the current iCade and Core and maybe a twin stick gamepad version for modern games (though I'd hope developers and players wouldn't then abandon the retro in favor of that as retro games would work on that but twin stick type controls couldn't be replicated on the current) and leave it at that.

Are there any decent Pokemon style games available for iOS yet? I see a number of the F2P games incorporate collecting and/or evolving, but always in some CCG format.

I did a bit of research last night and you can apparently load up a program called iFunBox and delete your local account from there by deleting data048.bin. Seems potentially dangerous, but I am now tempted to set up a second account to grind for a Valkyrie.

I thought the Valkyrie is only really useful on certain teams? I was looking for one of the others you listen, like the Green Oden

Yeah, but if there's one thing I love in any game like this (MTG is great for it too) it's gimmick teams. I saw a superplay last night where a party with two Valks wiped out one of the hardest bosses in the game by turning the entire field into Light gems.

My Neptune is kinda like that too because his poison OHKO's certain high DEF low HP enemies, but he's not nearly as explosive as Valkyrie can be.

For Puzzle and Dragons I restarted the game 30 times yesterday and finally got a god, it's Idunn & Idunna.
I don't know if this monster is good but I'm too lazy to reset again >.<

They're good enough to get you through about the first half of the game without much trouble; the biggest strike against them is that they're outclassed by other endgame monsters and they cost a lot of team points for a kinda meh ability.

Also when I got them out of the egg machine I was like HATSUNE MIKU????

I just watched the various Classic Game Room iCade reviews and now I'm even more hyped for it to arrive. I'll have to eventually get one for myself as well at this rate (but probably a core and only if I can get it for a nice price). It sounds like pure awesome. Make more games developers! He mentions there's no input lag in the hardware review video as well so it definitely depends on the software implementation I guess. Hopefully everyone will work it out.

Thanks to these reviews I also found this hidden apparent gem called ElectroMaster and sequel HungryMaster, both are 100% free too. I'll have to get Blazing Star after watching that and maybe GridRunner, they're shmups but very different to Raiden Legacy. Obviously I should have watched all that and more before ordering it but I'm glad to hear it delivers by someone who seems to have the experience and taste to know what he's talking about too.
