"FIFA 13" belegt vor "Call Of Duty: Black Ops II" (beide PS3) den zweiten Rang, bevor "New Super Mario Bros. 2" die 3DS-Ehre rettet. Unterrepräsentiert sind Xbox 360, mit "Black Ops II" und "FIFA 13" auf den Plätzen neun und zehn in den Top 10 vertreten, und Wii U. Mit einer noch dünnen installierten Basis reiht sich die neue Nintendo-Konsole unter "ferner liefen" ein. Rang 26 für "New Super Mario Bros. U " ist derzeit das höchste der Gefühle. "Darksiders II" auf Rang 81 schafft es auf Wii U außerdem in die Top 100. Playstation Vita glänzt zum Fest mit Abwesenheit.

Lot of 199 € Bundles with 250 GB, Skrym and Forza Motorsport 4. I think that eyery new owner get´s a third game at start, too.

TBH i think that would more indicate that 360 HW is selling quite well rather than software selling badly. If a bundle can get games that high on the chart they must be moving a decent amount of consoles.

is this retailer gives out weekly/monthly ranking

I'm not sure, maybe weekly or whenever they feel like it. I've seen it change multiple times in a month.

OMG. Nintendo is doing AWFUL in UK. The company needs a management structure change there ASAP, specially the marketing area. Even NEW SUPER MARIO BROS U is doing terrible (and it's a FUCKING 2D MARIO GAME GODDAMIT) there. Something is VERY, VERY WRONG with Nintendo in UK.

It seems to be doing quite awful in Spain according to that one retailer's chart.

...Which is a chart from just one retailer in Portugal, not even Spain. I repeat: one retailer.
Sorry, in that case I stand corrected for portgal. Well one retailer, while not being a conclusive evidence is a nice indication of the trend.

Not as hilarious as taking the chart from ONE retailer and somehow taking that as meaning anything.
I never said, OMG Nintendo is DOOMED Vita is the King or anything like that. But it is hillarious that even one retailer has Vita charting higher than 3DS.

Ninja Gaiden 3 will save the Wii U.

anymore hilarious than the 3DS and Vita charting higher than the 360 in that chart?
Well that's pretty funny too, to be honest with you.

It's also hilarious that PSP is higher than Vita or 3DS, though you can understand that based on the price.

Stop being so overly defensive, though. It's all just jokes and what I said wasn't even untrue.

No! Scribblenauts will save it!
Seriously, Nintendo UK needs a giant shakeup. They're not aggressive, it's in times like this a company have to analise what's going on in a specific territory and then understanding how to solve it...and it's not just with ads.

What do Nintendo UK do? I know HQ is in Germany but even since as long as I can remember I always got the impression the UK and wider Europe wasn't seen as much of a priority by Nintendo. Maybe I'm wrong but it always seemed to me that Japan and the US was what mattered and Europe was an afterthought.

I mean I get the feeling that Nintendo UK or Nintendo Europe have very little say on how things are done.

fnac is probably the biggest or one of the biggest portuguese retailers though.

Are far as this type of market goes it pretty much is the biggest. Also I never took it as anything. That's all on you people :p

But I don't really doubt the Vita is selling more then the 3DS here. I don't doubt that at all lol.

Glad Vita is doing somewhat ok.

Nintendo I could give two hoots about.
There are so many issues with the Wii U , they deserve a kick up the arse.

This is nothing to be surprised about. Nintendo has never did good in Europe prior to the Wii, here some numbers:

Wii: 30+ million units
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-01-10-european-wii-sales-pass-30-million-mark

GC: 4.77 million units (WW sales excluding US & JP)

N64: 6.75 million units (WW sales excluding US & JP)

SNES: 8.58 million units (WW sales excluding US & JP)

NES: 8.56 million units (WW sales excluding US & JP)

The Wii U is dead in the UK and is likely doing similar pitiful numbers in the rest of Europe. It will be interesting to see how Nintendo will fix this.

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free

Mario Party, Mario Kart, Mario 3D Plattformer, Mario and Luigi 4, Mario Golf, Mario Mario all next year on WiiU.

Not so much. The European market expanded greatly in the last decade, and the last two platforms have been big losers compared to PSX and PS2 respectively ( even if N64 didn't do that bad in US). And then Wii and DS did fantastic in Europe, their biggest territory. Seeing Wii U doing this bad not just in UK ( which is Nintendo's toughtest territory right now by far ), but everywhere and even in Germany ( probably in France too, but since we can just see the top 5, we can't judge in a good way now) is seriously worrying. And it is in contrast with 3DS which, as of 30th September 2012, was already almost at 7 millions and it'll be at 8.2- 8.5 millions after the Holidays. So, the problem isn't the Europe as a territory rejecting Nintendo as a whole ( maybe UK, but still...), but Europe not showing any interest in Wii U.

@pieatorium: Yes, it's working for me too.

The bigger problem is if france and germany dont bite.

Pretty sure at least loyalists in these countries would bite if some proper games were made for the console, available right at launch and more already on the horizon. Some delayed Pikmin 6 months later doesn't cut it and New Mario Bros doesn't exactly have the same status as something like Twilight Princess to people that would be interested in a launch buy. (While Wii also already had 3D Mario, Metroid, Fire Emblem and others promised for its first year, the WiiU again is just... Pikmin and niche games from Platinum at unknown dates) Meanwhile, Nintendoland is too poorly marketed to capture the Eyetoy/Wii Sports/Kinect crowd and yet another karaoke game won't get them either.

They deserve that bomba, Nintendo better get their shit together until next E3. Only lesson they took from the 3DS is throwing New Mario Bros at it, other than that the situation is only slightly better, but much worse when it comes to the consoles promise due to stupid silence. Fortunately they don't get away with it and hopefully fix this soon enough so the console might at least have the chance to still become as good for Nintendo- and niche games as the original Wii.

Other than the Wii, Nintendo never sold that well in Europe. Europe was Sega Land in the past and more recently Sony and Xbox (UK).

Pie and Beans

Look for me on the local news, I'll be the guy arrested for trying to burn down a Nintendo exec's house.
Out of the Top 40 entirely then. WiiU is already dead. Panic buttons, firings, a £100 price slash: a matter of when now, not if.

thw question is will they announce a price cut and all that goes with it or will they slash the trade price and encourage stores to start offering more aggressive bundling?

the price cut and ambassador program for 3ds was a nightmare for nintendo both in terms of press and internally, I don't think they will want to go through that again so soon. nintendo are in desperate need of some restructuring at the very top and this could prove to the catalyst for such change.

I dont see how it could chart etc with such a small install base to sell too?.

Wow, three Vita games!

Yes, I'm very surprised! Hoping it's not due to price collapses XD
On the other side, the three Mario 3DS titles seem to be almost flat, at least in positions ( they probably did lower than last week for the usual drop post-Christmas for everything).

Now we can start that joke. I'll do it:

When does Wii U launch in UK?
