Am I the only one who wants a sequel to Colosseum & XD ?
They were rather cool after all, what is Genius Sonority doing these days ?

To what end and purpose?
.

Cash money? I dont know really, its just makes sense that a portable game would be enough to go on Iphone/Android. I mean SE is putting their FF5 DS remake on IOS soon for example.

Cant see why they wouldnt put a pokemon they have allready made on it for easy money. Tack on the online trading from the new versions using 3G/wifi tech and boom $$$

Also companys allways say "big new important announcment" for even the most boringly dull ones liek the pokedex app.

Making Denpa Men.

If you can't understand why a Nintendo-published game that was exclusively released on one of their products and is one of the biggest sellers on their platforms wouldn't be released on a third party device, you're crazy. It isn't going to happen. Nintendo may not own a controlling interest Game Freak, but they do have in-direct control of the franchise. Nintendo owns the franchise alone with Gamefreak and Creatures (Creatures is 100% Nintendo owned). The Pokemon Company is also 100% owned by Nintendo.

This topic comes up a lot. There's too many completely valid reasons to list why they should not do it. It's just a really bad idea. The short-term potential gains are low. The long-term potential losses are high.

I'm doubtful Nintendo could raise on iOS as much money as it could on handheld, by selling the game at 40 dollars.

Wonder if they have it in them to make a Skylanders for Japan in the form of Pokemon.

The Wii U, NFC tech, and branding would ensure that it slaughters over there.

My personal hope is for some co-op Pokemon Snap on the Wii U. Would be cool to have one person control the picture-taking on the Wiipad (with option gyro functionality) while a second person can bait, stun, etc. to line up pictures for you.

Or hell, Pokemon Stadium 3.

SE is third-party. They don't have their own dedicated handheld console.

There is also no FF5 DS remake. The iOS version might be a port of the GBA version.

I can't help it, if there's any one franchise that can instantly push me to buy new hardware, it's gonna be Pokémon.
Would buy a 3DS for this in the blink of an eye, my DS lite is getting old anyway.

The problem is Pokemon spin-off don't sell nearly as much as the mainline Pokemon games.

Same here, I'd rebuy a 3DS for this (a used one, granted) and then when I'd be finished with the game I'd sell it back.

It has to be a new game though. Searched for the last episode info regarding the animé and gee, Ash is fighting in the Pokémon League. Probably his final battle, cuz Ash can't be a Pokémon master! So we'll get a Black & White filler season with the first sightings of Gen VI Pocketo Monstahs

I'm pretty sure they've already announced a mystery dungeon thing so this is almost certainly going to be the gen 5 WiiU Colosseum /Stadium game.

Nice, I like to watch the episodes of the tournaments. Lets see if this time Ash gets to the finals lol

New movie

New DLC quest for Black & White 2 that will never come to America and they'll instead give us the rewarded Pokemon from the quest for free

New Pokemon Stadium game that will only work with gen5 and they'll never make a new one for the rest of the Wii U's lifespan

New spinoff game for 3DS

New app for 3DS

Black & White (the first games) ported to 3DS. Same exact game but in 3D/higher resolution (except sprites)

"Pokemon characters will show up in the new Smash Bros games ^-^ "

Please surprise me, Game Freak.

Just because they called it something else, doesn't mean it didn't get released.

It's Pokemon Stadium if they stripped out every single feature besides battling.

No minigames. (despite being in an amusement park)
No storage.
No playing the handheld games on the system.
No gallery.
No Gym Leader Castle.
No Your Room to decorate.
And lackluster multiplayer support.
No huge list of every Pokemon for rentals.

I'll keep calling it "Battle Revolution".

Actually, it's not so much a "filler season", they only will start the N and Team Plasma stuff in the anime now, after the league is done. Aside from gym leaders and a few familiar faces (with many characters still missing completely), Best Wishes so far has mostly avoided adapting anything from Black & White's 1 and 2 stories.

Haven't played BR in a long time (because it did indeed kind of sucked) but what's the problem in multiplayer? Haven't tried it much but I'm curious.

What is the point of that? If they wanted to do that, they could of have done that with BW2.

It'll be DOWNLOADABLE (ooooOOOOoooo!)

And doing that with BW2 would've left out the DS audience which would've guaranteed lower sales. Why not re-release it so there's a fancy new version :V Trust me, it'd still sell (well enough). Worked gaming retail for 7+ years and the Pokemon kids buy anything and everything that says Pokemon. I know a kid that would get a Pokemon game every single week if they released one every week.

Anyways, not the most terribly likely scenario. Just trying to come up with all possibilities of what they'll disappoint us with on the 8th when they don't announce Gen6 Pokemon for 3DS (or the pipe dream that is a Pokemon Wii U game that isn't another Battle Revolution).

Eh, it just seems pointless to me because you can already play the games on the 3DS. I know that it could still mean better resolution and whatnot but it sounds pointless for the mass, so it doesn't sound like worth the effort. And an announcement of port of a year old game just sounds silly. But each to their own I suppose! I'd rather them make something new because I want more 3DS killer apps.

Hoping for Gen 3 remakes

Then again I just now got the ability to trade from DS game to DS game so a 3DS gen starting would crush that :(

Its time for a new game. Pokemon games always hit 2-3 years in a systems lifetime. Also, pokemon gen 6 has been in development for 2 1/2 years probably 3 by the time its released. I've been saying all of 2012 to expect pokemon gen 6 this year.

I'm pretty sure we've had quotes from TPCi saying that the 3DS project is an original game, not a remake.

If they announce a RPG, it'll be Gen VI.

I do half suspect that this announcement will be a Wii U Battle Sim, with support for Gen VI patched in later in the year.

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.
Pokemon 3DS, full 3d, everything animated, no more sprites, with Kanto, Johto & Hoenn. Developped by Retro Studios.

Fox's only, Final Destination.

Pokèmon in a 3d open space developed with Capcom (Monster Hunter) + NFC support + online muliplayer.

Or just another Pokèmon thing.

I really didn't expect a new mainline Pokemon game to release until 2014, but if they manage to get it out this year, that'll be pretty big. Assuming that's what this is, of course.

That'd be pretty damn fast. Could they make 100 Pokemon AND a New region that fast?

Especially since it's 100 percent guaranteed to be on the 3DS?
