Another oneshot from Toriyama and Katsura which got divided into 3 chapters due to the length. Jiya is an alien and a member of the galactic patrol on a mission to investigate earth. Using a human's body as a host, he tries to complete his mission while experiencing the unknown sensation of desire and pleasure as a human being. It's somewhat related to Sachie-chan Guu!! but also a little more serious and I guess entertaining. The best part was probably the interview with Toriyama and Katsura at the end though where Toriyama accuses Katsura of drawing underwhelming panty shots :lol

It's pretty cool most of the main characters are already powerful (no whinying except for princess ) but quite disappointed they don't look as cool as advertised in their poster.
The generic echii(perv) crap is obnoxious & unfunny, hope the frequency of it drops to never again.
The main draw of it so far is power displays/rule of cool and finding out more about the holy knights/seven deadly sins.
Last few chapters has been very promising as it moved the plot forward instead of more weak moe princess blabbing about generic moe stuff(being useless) and frequent echi crap.
Will read more it's been worth it thanks to the later chapters let's just hope it doesn't turn out to be another blood lad(shit) and ends up being another magi.
Also don't like diana a bit better then the princess but still don't like her.

Damn this volume was intense. Every scene revolving around Kikuchi up to the very end was very well done. Scary guy but I have a feeling he'll come back soon. I started this mainly on a whim because of the unique art style but I'm getting really into this story. Next volume should be good as I've been interested to see Senou's back story.

Pretty tame for a Dowman Sayman story. Which more or less translates to probably not as good as his other works. I think he's the best when he's not showing any restraint and going completely off the wall.
That said, I'm still looking forward to seeing where the story ends.

I think that's one of the main reasons I can't bring myself to really enjoy the series. The main characters are so bad.
That said, I'm still looking forward to seeing where the story ends.
I dunno how authors can consciously write such bad characters. I don't even mean to qualify a "pathetic" character as a bad one, but the main character of Aku no Hana is just too single-minded and uninteresting.
I'm also mainly reading to see how the story will end. Hopefully in glorious fashion.
Everyone should read The End of Sexual Instinct and the Hydrogen Bomb War in its entirety where that story and much more are included.
Or at least check out his Nickelodeon collection which is a lot more tame.

Some of my friends actually give me shit for not liking Gantz. Apparently just because it's violent and controversial means it's a mature piece of work.
Which is also annoys me about Aku No Hana. While I understand that those kind of shit can happen, the way it is written, paced just seems like it was crafted to maximise the shock value of the manga.

Holy crap. How didn't they see this coming? The people in this team are completely broken and they use one of the people who are responsible for that as a guide?
Overall I really liked the flashback and I can't wait to see them in the future and how much time passed between them and the other teams.

This was pretty much a more expanded version of the yuri oneshot with a definite ending. It was fairly inoffensive outside of one melodramatic bit at the end of the first chapter but it was smooth sailing after that. Not bad.
If this chapter doesn't tell you just how depraved idol culture is then I just don't know what will.

I think Gantz is severely flawed and honestly flat out unpleasant at points. Though it's decently inspiring at other times.
Still loads better than either Bleach or Naruto.

I can't even imagine how Naruto would focus on and/or reintroduce the elements I actually enjoyed, so for me it's pretty much over in terms of enjoyable content.

It's a good piece of fluff to read every week for me. Plus I want to see this to the end.
I always wonder why Bleach and Naruto seem to be the only series that attract my non nerdy (well, relatively speaking) friends. Was chatting with some of my mates the other day and one was like "You know, the other day, I just sat down and caught up on Bleach" and there was a pause and then he said "What the fuck?!?"
