The more exclusives the better
Well, only one of those are a reason to buy an Xbox 3 over a PS4.The following reasons will make me choose Infinity ahead of PS4...
1. No forced Kinect.
2. No used-games block.
3. No always-on.
4. Have a significant first-party line-up (non-Kinect shovelware).
5. Some form of BC
Also, while MS is without doubt more finacially solvent, I don't think their future is as rosy as some seem to think. Aside from the Xbox division, their business vision seems so stagnant. Their virtual monopoly in the PC space sustains them obviously, but their software products, especially in the Office line are garbage. Their really needs to be more viable competition to MS in the PC space.

Here is a list I made of first party studios that make hardcore games. Didn't include developers that make Kinect, Move, Vita, XBLA and PSN games.
RARE Team 2 - AAA game (I assume another team makes Kinect games)
Microsoft LA - AAA game
343 - Halo 5
Turn 10 - Forza 5
Black Tusk - Futuristic shooter
Lionhead - Fable MMO
Crytek - Ryse (3rd party exclusive)
Remedy - Alan Wake 2 (MS don't own IP, 3rd party exclusive)
Respawn - Titan (MS don't own IP, 3rd party exclusive)
Plus more studios like Twisted Pixel, Big Park and etc that make Kinect or XBLA games
Guerilla Games - Killzone Shadowfall
Sucker Punch - inFamous Second Son
Sony Japan - Knack
Evolution - DriveClub
Quantic Dreams - Cinematic game
Team Ico - The Last Guardian
Santa Monica - New AAA IP
Santa Monica Team 2 - God of War 4
Guerilla Games Team 2 - The Order, Fantasy RPG
Naughty Dog - Uncharted 4
Naughty Dog Team 2 - Last of Us 2 or New IP
Polyphony Digital - Gran Turismo 6
Media Molecule - LittleBigUniverse
San Diego - MLB
SOE - Planetside 2 port
Ready at Dawn - AAA action adventure game (3rd party exclusive)
Square Enix - Final Fantasy XV or Versus - (Sony don't own the IP, 3rd party exclusive)
Plus more studios like Bend, Zindagi, London and etc that make Vita, PSN or Move games
But are they worthwhile exclusives?
Lol at people saying Sony won't be able to compete. The only way Sony won't be able to compete is if MS got COD and BF as exclusives which is obviously not happening.
I expect:
Crytek Rise
Epic exclusive
Respawn with Titan
COD DLC
Yeah Sony's fine.
Well, Respawns-Game alone could probably outsell almost all known ps4-exclusives alone.
If not, then epic's game would do the rest of the work.

Ugh .guys can't we just get allong ?
And a fairly unbelievable one I think.Heck Respawn making the game exclusive to xbox is just a rumour.

Their really needs to be more viable competition to MS in the PC space. Personally, I feel the Xbox has been the only decent product MS has concieved in the last 15 years. Anyway, I am interested to see what they show on Tuesday. They do have more cash reserves, but it will be interesting to see whether they have invested more in games or services.
Media Molecule - LittleBigUniverse

Seriously, is this a rumour? Wishful thinking?
I need to know.
I didn't know Epic are making a exclusive for Durango can someone link me to that rumour.
All betrayals are megatons, but not all megatons are betrayals. Not sure that would count as a ton. It would be nice though. Insomniac really wants a big shooter and Microsoft has been the most successful (among console makers) in that area.
Yeah, and I remember reading the Destiny contract. We'll see.Not according to famousmortimer. He seems to think the deal is done.
Guesses, I put God of War 4, Fable MMO and etc. The while point of that list is to show the developers that are working for MS and Sony

Don't think there's really an "official" rumour going around anywhere, just speculation here on Gaf hinging on the relationship between MS and Epic.
It certainly was. I still don't think it'll be true, but we shall see.Well, the Destiny contract was years old wasn't it? This would likely be relatively new and up to date information.

As for MM, that thing we saw was just a tech demo, it wasn't a game, and it seems like 3D sculpting is a natural step towards LBU.
Indeed. I wouldn't be surprised if they lock up Respawn's title. At least the first entry, with any sequels going multiplatform. Would be interesting to see how Activision would respond to such a move.
I hope so, LBU is pretty much what I expected but then they blind-sided me with that tech demo.

I don't think they honestly care. They're already getting free money for timed DLC exclusivity and they're confident in Destiny becoming their next big thing.
I don't think that's likely at all. Just because of the tech demo, doesn't mean the actual game will require the Move, it would mean killing the sales potential.(for instance, Media Molecule's next game is for Vita, and it's likely that their PS4 game is going to be a Move title).

Yeah, pretty sure that's in the "4 New IPs" thread.I swear I remember Microsoft having job openings FOR Epic Games.
I'm 99% confident I read it here, like a year ago. But I can't find it through Google/Neogaf's search bar.
I've always assumed Epic is making an exclusive game for Microsoft because of this.
Something is amiss.
By the way, Lionhead also has two teams, you forgot about MS Victoria, and then there's the newly rumored MS Seattle/Redmond. Not to mention that making a distinction between Move/Kinect/XBLA/PSN/Vita studios and those that make traditional control home console retail games (talk about narrowing the scope down) in nonsensical, not only because all games are essentially of equal value before you prioritize them depending on your taste, but also because those roles are not set in stone (for instance, Media Molecule's next game is for Vita, and it's likely that their PS4 game is going to be a Move title).

I think that's extremely likely and that you should watch their part of the conference again. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that suggesting anything else after witnessing their presentation is ludicrous and borders on wishful thinking. In their own words, they spent two years doing research in order to find a solution to their problems before finally "completely falling in love" with the Move.
"Dear Move controller, Im sorry it's taken us so long to realize this, but we're going to marry you with the power of the PS4, we're going to revolutionize [game/content] making - you're great."
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=555720He makes it rather clear that this game is far from being a Move only experience (Although they see Move as being ideal for 3D creation, they will also try to look into alternative of using DS4 for sculpting. He also confirms that the idea is to be able to play created games with the DS4)
- It was pointed out that too many Move games are trying to replicate Wii, while with this project they will try to focus on precise movements, fully utilizing the potential of the Move controller
- He is aware that their message during the PS4 reveal left some people confused, so he once again confirms what was in fact rather clear from the demo: rock music part of the demo was purely incidental, but the purpose was to show how the animation creation works. The whole performance was real, no fake editing. He seems pretty confirmative how this technology brings to life emotions in the animated characters. Although he says that this game will probably be more than just a puppet game.
- He is not all that clear if this project will be an open creation software tool or whether they will try to fit it into a specific game framework
