Yeeea just a little bit. Only solution. More character reveals.
Not necessarily. It's quite possible the characters exist and were prepped for E3, but Nintendo may have done so as backup in case they didn't generate the hype they wanted. Hence why they started with two... then unveiled a third. They could go about this in any number of ways, any number of combinations. There's no guarantee we'll see anything tomorrow. But I strongly suspect our prophet is right on the money when to comes to these six being planned at some point.
Ah, so when he posted it here, he WAS the Gematsu guy, and he was passing along what his source had said. That makes sense.
If they only do Dojo via Miiverse it'd be extremely stupid. It'd basically be like only marketing to Wii U owners

Here's my ever-changing post-reveal roster. My old "roster prediction topic" roster can fuck right off.
I'd have said that SSB4's roster wouldn't exceed 45, but since 12 characters were revealed well over a year before the game's release I've got a feeling the roster might surpass 50. I kept all the Brawl characters because Sakurai (and his huge development team) might finally have the time and resources to make the game he planned from the very beginning, without any cuts.
Toad
Toad's popular, the only remaining original Mario Kart character, and he has a major role in the upcoming Super Mario 3D World. Given that Sakurai included Villager despite his feelings about Animal Crossing in the days of Brawl, I feel like this might be the game where Toad finally breaks free from Peach's move set. I could actually see that being a part of his CG introduction trailer -- Peach goes to pull Toad out but he isn't there, and as she looks around confused he jumps into battle and kicks her out of the frame or something.
Dixie Kong
She was planned for Brawl and makes her return to the mainline Donkey Kong games in the upcoming Tropical Freeze. She also has just enough name value to be considered a major character, which every Smash Bros. game needs in its newcomer roster.
Ridley
I don't feel like explaining him. Metroid's big enough to warrant another character, and he's the obvious choice. He'll probably be unlockable.
Palutena
Another safe, obvious pick.
Chrom
Ditto.
Mewtwo
A heavily requested veteran who's being brought back into the fold with X and Y. His new forme(s) will probably be worked in somehow, too. Unlockable, obviously.
Zoroark
Despite GAF largely considering him a failed attempt at replacing Lucario and irrelevant with the arrival of X and Y, Black/White and Black 2/White 2 still spent three years at the forefront of the Pokémon universe. You can't just pretend a generation didn't exist. Plusle & Minun were planned for Brawl, so we know Sakurai thinks all generations introduced after the last Smash Bros. deserve characters. The fifth generation games sold a ton, too.
Mii
I'm just going with the leak here.
Sheriff
He'd be a fun unlockable historical character in the vein of G&W or R.O.B. He's Nintendo's first character.
Takamaru
A popular retro character to placate the Japanese fan base. He's sort of relevant with Nintendo Land, too.
Little Mac
A popular retro character to placate the Western fan base. Also, leak.
Pac-Man
Leak! He'd have been on my roster regardless, though.

Little Mac and Pac-Man are fine. But the Mii? Ugh, it's expected, but still disappointing for me.
I just want Shulk revealed as a playable character with his own reveal trailer sooner or later, and then everything will be perfect for this game.

What? No. Did you not notice Wii Fit Trainer was her own separate trailer? They can dole out these characters however they want. There's nothing to preclude the possibility the trailers are ready, but Nintendo is playing their debut by ear.
Again: How did someone guess Villager and Wii Fit Trainer? Tell me that. Prior to the Direct, Sakurai had explicitly ruled out Villager. And no one -- not even the roster makers with Flipnote Frog -- had ever considered Wii Fit Trainer. So tell me, how could a person "guess" six characters, and be completely right so far?

Exactly. It's not like just one of the revealed characters is on the list of six; all three of them are. Statistically -- literally, from a mathematical standpoint -- that's improbable to the point of practical impossibility.

He may look at six trailers, each for a different newcomer, and assume they'll all be shown. But as with any media event, the one's running the show ultimately call that.
As Ryce pointed out, this source has been 100% right so far, half of his predictions confirmed, and two of those three characters are ones people either had ruled out or never considered. I believe the source that these characters are real. Whether their timing is set in stone, we don't know.

I don't know about you guys but anyone who guessed that a Villager from Animal Crossing and fucking Wii Fit Trainer would be playable, along with Megaman is kind of on to something.
I think it's rather telling that nobody in our own prediction thread guessed Wii Fit Trainer. Not even a guess.

I care enough to explain myself, but if you're not capable of understanding what I say, so be it.
Perhaps we're arguing different things. Are you challenging the notion that this source knows of characters in the game? Do you think him calling Villager, Wii Fit Trainer and Mega Man was just a lucky guess?

id have no problem with mii if the move list is enjoyable. Adds a personal touch to being in the game and taking on classic characters.
You could have a four player battle with all miis, itd be hilarious.

The point isn't about the amount of characters to revealed at E3 but rather which characters.
PR plans can change. Even on short notice.
Especially considering the source of information even nailed down the official names of all these characters (in particular "Wii Fit Trainer" and "Villager") - given how ambiguous the names of these characters have been up to this point, and some keep calling the Wii Fit Trainer "Wii Fit Girl" or whatever, it should show that there's something up.
It would be quite the uncanny coincidence otherwise.

I don't think it will. They didn't touch on Delfino Island in Brawl. If it were a static arean, it could be redone, but considering how they'll show various parts of the island and such, they'll likely reuse most assets, aside from maybe changing some textures and such. IIRC, Great Bay in Melee also reused assets for the background, although the area itself had new assets.

I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility that it was a guess. I do think the rest of the names on that list are likely characters. If the other three characters are a no show tomorrow then I would be very skeptical about taking his word as gospel and spreading it around like it's fact. I don't really give a shit beyond that.
