Haha, like I said, the comparison only works if you ignore the existence of MLP prior to FiM.

But demographics aren't comparable outside FiM.
The problem with reset button endings is that you only get to do it so many times before you cheapen the story as a whole. Unfortunately, Doremi hits it multiple times. Fortunately, though, it only applies to their status as witch apprentices.

Eh neither PreCure nor MLP has ever actively gone after an older demographic as their primary focus. Brony and Otaku audiences were incidental and PreCure has largely been ignoring them until Suite.

Episode 6 was ok, not a lot of action but it was interesting. No developments in the story have been made so far at all which is kind of annoying, but I don't mind since the mini stories are good enough to watch.
Episode 7 kinda hit me in the feels. It wasn't Angel Beats or The Last of Us bad, but it got me to start being emotional a little bit. The MC girl has
Not a huge problem but just something I noticed, along with the extreme movements of the people's heads when they talk. I actually like this since the people don't stay in the same position in scenes except for their mouths, this shows that extra work that they put in which I like.
Good show so far and hasn't dissapointed me yet.

Haha, I dunno about that. I'd say I was less mad about that than I was the general jerk way Utena behaved leading up to it. Girl neglects her friends like no other. Anthy shows up in her life and she ignores Wakaba. Akio shows up and she ignores Anthy. Granted she's a stupid teenager, but still.

Sure its had depth in its meta and story-layer discussion, but the face value of the show is easy enough to understand.
Its not a Oshii's movie or something.
Probably because he's spending too much time trying to divine answers early on that will be provided later.
Riiiiiiiight. You can explain that to the metaphorical car and elevator rides, the various characters who are not actually Anthy Himemiya, and the magical retcon of an entire arc.

I think it's more that we are now seeing the results of repeated trauma he has sustained from the anime he's been watching.
