Almost crashed into buses several times because the bus drivers are usually assholes here. And yes it truly is a fascinating skill isn't it.

Hmm, I don't know if I can answer this accurately. I've always been a picky eater so marmitex was never something I was ever keen on eating. From the times I did eat it, it wasn't all that bad but it wasn't exactly great either.

Ah, well, I dunno. I just found the way Marmitex ruined a meal perfectly depressing.

But what I wouldn't give for some churrasco. Been so long. A girl I worked with when we were down there works at a churrascaria here, now. Some days I am rather envious of her.

Went to two parties this past weekend. One was a friend's birthday the other was a family gathering to see the finals of the Confederations Cup. Both had churrasco, and both were absolutely amazing.

What you doing in the US Corvo, come to your true homeland man. Guarana is waiting for you.

I've been split in half for years, now. I love Brasil, but I can't just leave the mountains and forests of my home, either, haha. If I were rich I'd probably live half a year in both.

Anthy's eyes rolling into the back of her head was animated in some fucking creepy way. Like, I thought she was just rolling them and then oh fuck no eyes oh fuck no Anthy.

Summer Wars (Dub Rewatch)

I bought this on DVD a few years ago and watched it with the Japanese language, but never got around to the dub until now. Since it's officially summer, and we're in the summer thread, what better time to watch Summer Wars?

It holds up. In fact, I might have enjoyed it even more because I could keep track of the extended family better by associating them with VAs I recognize. (The Japanese dub was, I believe, somewhat notorious for casting mostly unknowns.)

Great characters and development, beautiful backgrounds, almost perfect pacing (it's a just a bit slow to start in the beginning), and martial arts sakuga on par with anything else you could care to name.

Plus, Natsuki's foxgirl avatar is so cute. :hosodapocalypse

Nah. If it's good, it's good. I obviously would like to see a bigger range in general for settings, but that extends further than identifying with a plot or it's characters.

Not really, but I guess that's mostly because I feel like my mental age isn't much different from a typical high schooler, even if I've done so much more. I guess it doesn't help that I feel just as directionless in life as I did back then, even though that isn't really true.

I would like to see more shows with main characters in my age bracket, though (particularly about people similar to me so I can feel better about myself).

I know that the joke is that so many anime take place in high school settings because those are the best years of your life and everything afterward is just progressively shittier, but this is proving to actually be the case to me so far. Watching kids be stupid is preferable to watching well-adjusted adults ._.

Not really. I mean, having been at that age at one point, I can still identify with the characters. Obviously not as well as I can with characters in my current age group, but still.

Maybe that's what it is for me, i want to see shows about people my age, but i guess shows about working stiffs aren't as interesting.
