guess that's code for expect a port on ps4 and xbox one, could work on both with vita and smart glass
The PR way of saying:
"We can't rip-off the consumer on the WiiU, so they're out of sync with the future."
I'm surprised there's still no port for PC/PS3/360
Out of all the retail games on Wii U, It should be assumed that only NSMBU has turned a profit so far.
Bollocks, man
The game was great. Put a sequel out on consoles that people actually own and you might be pleasantly surprised.
Wonderful 101k sales
Clearly this was instrumental to Ubisoft's decision for reducing support for the Wii U platform.
ZombiU must have been a major writeoff. Those kind of losses, even if Nintendo subsidized part of development / marketing, would put off any company from supporting a platform.
Zombi2 for XboxOne and PS4
I'm surprised there's still no port for PC/PS3/360
ACL was a pack-in at one time. ZombieU had that luxury as well, right?
Why didn't they include online multiplayer if they wanted online engagemt?
Pretty much. Maybe Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed too? Other than that I can't think of ny big sellers for the Wii U.
Maybe if a single website reviewed the game well it would have sold. GameSpot giving it a 4 certainly did not help convince launch buyers in picking the title up.
I love Zombi U and wish a sequel comes to light one day.
Not surprised in the slightest. And I bought the game for WiiU.
If I was a third party dev I wouldn't got near WiiU with a barge pole. Nintendo. You are a joke.
Horrible name (a zombie game called Zombie. That'll get lines forming), no marketable characters or enemies, barely any marketing period, and a game that is clearly more proof-of-concept than anything. This is no surprise, but it is sad because it ended up being a very good game.
Seriously, who is going to see a game on the shelf called "Zombie" with a picture of a zombie on it and actually buy it?
Ubisoft's Wii launch titles came out selling a million shortly after and spawned numerous sequels. This time they put up more money for a core title and the early adopters turned up their nose at it.It's a launch title, so the numbers are going to be low. This seems particularly bad though. They should release the game or at least a successor on other systems. The franchise definitely showed promise.

Possibly. I think Sega said they were happy with the sales for the Wii U version.
"We must find a way to ensure the creativity of those games could have a big enough audience," he says. "We hope it will take off. At the moment, we've said 'let's do through Christmas and see where we are from there.'"
Betting big on the Wii U didn't work out well for the company. ZombiU, one of the most popular launch titles for the system with players, was not profitable, he says. Not even close. As such, he says, there are no plans (or even desire) for a sequel.
It was, in fact, because of that game's performance that Ubisoft decided to make Rayman Legends a multiplatform game.

That is about the entire round-up of good reviews. Even the general view of people on NeoGAF who did not play the game thought it was mediocre based on review scores.Hmmmm....
Joystiq - 4.5/5
Eurogamer - 90
G4 - 4/5
Quarter to Three - 4/5
Giant Bomb - 4/5
Yep, not a single good review anywhere.
Yep dunno why they made it exclusively for the Wii U. There's two platforms that you just don't touch right now as a 3rd party... Wii U and Vita.
Zombi2 for XboxOne and PS4
There's probably more to it than just numbers. Not a lot of Ubisoft titles are profitable.
It seems logical to do it if you wanna make a nice return.I don't *really* want to port-beg, here, but...
I mean...come on. Do it, Ubisoft.
You do know it was a launch title, right? They did well with Red Steel at the Wii's launch.

I don't see what's holding them back.
