Deus Ex: IW sort of set the tone for PC exclusive franchises going multiplatform, so I consider it the beginning of the end.

I don't even consider IW that bad compared to most of the games this gen. It wasn't great, but I would take it over the majority of this generation's games.

Does it really take some people months to get their account activated? Pretty sure it took me about three days.

It took me years, literally.

Finally, the last attempt got approved, a few months after creation.

Have to a admit, it did make it feel pretty exclusive, and knowing how long I had to lurk has given me extra incentive to be nice to everyone here. I want to leave GAF no worse than I found it. It's a cool place.

You know I always didn't mind that game too much. Compared to the horrifying examples of console streamlining like Invisible War, Skyrim, and Hitman Absolution (among others) we got pretty lucky with Deadly Shadows. Yeah it's a big step down from 2 but it still retains enough of Thief to be a solid game.

Yeah, I agree. DS isn't a bad game, it's just not a great one and that was pretty damn disappointing.

Dude was kinda apart of the community long before his account was ever approved, though, don't you think? How many times have we talked about his podcasts here over the years? How many times have threads been made containing information that perhaps he put out? I generally didn't get a sense that he was all that disliked here on GAF from all my time lurking the forums, that is until the Xbox One was set to release, and now all of a sudden people act like he's the worst person in the world lol.

You'd have to engage with the community to be a part of it. Funny time to choose to join GAF now when he could have, oh back when the 360 came out. GAF being a forum that industry people post in isn't exactly a new thing.
