Well, they start with their "I expected a proper next-gen game" bullshit.

dfyb said:the OP mentions MKDS... is there a MKDS sequel in the works or what? or is it a typo for MK wii?
this isn't the ps2-age anymore. ps3 is more than capable of bringing a quality online experience, and it's a shame if monster hunter stays in the past.

Maybe Nintendo of Japan left half their game announcements out so that...Firestorm said:I honestly don't see how NoA will top this... Thunder stolen.

ethelred said:Well, now that it's over...
The conference was decent. Better than any of their recent conferences, for sure, but that doesn't make it exceptional. Fire Emblem DS was an excellent announcement, and there were two noteworthy third party Wii games announced... but that was it.
People are really overreacting.

I think it's got more to do with Nintendo's past conference experiences. Who on earth was looking forward to this thing at all?ethelred said:People are really overreacting.

...yeah, you're right. NOA sent to die confirmed. They might get to announce a token game like F-Zero Wii--which would be mind-blowingly awesome, mind you, but still only one game in the end.

I was! I told you all it wasn't a retailer meeting. I already stated my pros and cons, and meltdowns are always fun to watch. :lolspeedpop said:I think it's got more to do with Nintendo's past conference experiences. Who on earth was looking forward to this thing at all?
SOLDIER said:Just a quick question here. What exactly happens if PS3 ends up with their own MH game within the year? The series means nothing to me, but a lot of you are convinced this is a killing blow to Sony. Did they even confirm that there won't be a PS3 version? I'm really failing to understand the logic here.
Maybe I shouldn't use the L word around here.
ethelred said:DS Demo Station was announced two fucking years ago.
well it's true. if you're like me and have a wii and ps3, why would you want it on wii?ElFly said:Well, they start with their "I expected a proper next-gen game" bullshit.
I still want to play with you DCharlie. Will you get this? Probably i will import it and check for myself but I am not really excited, however, Monster Hunter is Monster Hunter and would love to be in a good group.
a few months in when the majority of people playing where hardcore into the game, keyboards were common place so there was quite a bit of chatting.
ethelred said:DS Demo Station was announced two fucking years ago.
But probably the Wii game would triple the PS3 one in sales.
McDragon said:Just woke up...
MH3 for the wii? is it using the framework engine?
Troidal said:It is apparently clear some of you don't own a 360 and don't really see how much convenient and streamlined the online play experience is on the 360. It's not even about being a 360 fanboy...excuse me but I also have a Wii. Bitter tears my ass!
It's from a hardware spec/functionality standpoint. Wii loses in all aspects in terms of online play, and that's what I'm saying doesn't make sense.
angelfly said:I never remember it being announced. I only remember Miyamoto hinting that it was possible but never any confirmation.
Acosta said:Indeed, people have weak memory it seems.
It was a good conference, but nothing really amazing at all. Fire Emblem DS? Sonic? are you telling me you didn´t expect those at some point?
Narag said:Wouldn't there be a danger of fracturing the fanbase if they had to pay for online play though when its been free for how long now?
ethelred said:Here you go.
Now you're going too far. Fire Emblem DS is an amazing announcement and really the highlight of the event. We've been waiting for this for three years.
Acosta said:And? is that a good thing? Mobile gaming moves ton of sales, what about if we left our dedicatedconsoles and embrace our mobile overlords?
Doubt PS3 or 360 gets a MH anytime soon after this. But the potential was much bigger on those platforms for sure.
Aokage said:The screenshot is entirely PS2 (MH2) assets, so I doubt it, although Capcom's latest programmer recruitment page still lists MH3 as using MT Framework. Perhaps that project will get a new name, or be put on the back burner as a potential MH4...
TheKingsCrown said:Umm. Peeps. Just because Monster Hunter 3 is on Wii doesn't mean it isn't on other consoles, nor does it mean that they can't up the visuals a bit for those of you who don't own a wii, etc.
