Pulse measurement doesn't require Kinect. It's based on skin flushing or micromotion and can be done by any sufficiently detailed camera. Here's an app to do it on an iPhone.Dance games, sure, but Kinect 2 is on another level when it comes to fitness applications....
I don't see any way that they could extract exertion or pulse information from the 3d PlayStation Camera.
As for exertion, Kinect pretty much has to be calculating that based on the motion of the inferred skeletal rig. Depth sensing with 3D cameras of course isn't as accurate as with IR floodlighting, so it's not as certain the PlayStation Camera could follow suit exactly. But it could calculate something pretty similar. And once you've got a display of "Exertion Level" onscreen, I don't know how differentiating "Super-accurate Exertion Level" is.
