Cboat predicted the future again. Teh Xbox will have some troubles with 1080p for sure. Angry people followed him but he cast a spell and disappeared.

No, this is what will happen:

-> Adoption of the consoles will greatly favor Sony worldwide and Sony will regain significant market share in NA.
-> The price difference is a gamer changer and even fanboys are aware of this. The power difference is just icing on the cake for Sony
-> At least Sony isn't ramming Kinect 2.0 down peoples throats and has had a consistent philosophy from day one. The entire Xbox One unveiling and the aftermath has been a debacle. Microsoft gave us essentially PS3 2.0 in terms of arrogance and messaging.
-> Microsoft will try to moneyhat third parties but they'll have to break the bank by doing such a thing because there will be more PS4 consoles sold worldwide. Sony will continue to invest in their first parties and won't give a shit what kind of back room deals Microsoft tries to do.
-> In the end, the first battle has already been fought and won by Sony with their messaging, price point, and the power of their console. Things won't ramp up for either console until 2014 for either console, however.

I'm not entirely sure of how to read the last part of CBoaT's post, but it seems to me like the mention of risk everywhere could mean potential hardware issues. This alone isn't enough for me to cancel my preorder, but it'll likely lead to my buying an extended warranty.

If anything more concrete should arise about possible hardware issues for the Xbox One, then that preorder will be done for sure.

But wouldn't the logical thing to do be to cancel your preorder and wait to see if consumers start to complain? I doubt MS would officially announce hardware problems before the launch! This is putting the cart before the horse.

I'd cancel my pre-order if another high profile source cited hardware issues before launch. No, I don't expect MS to be honest about their product (especially after the PR shitshow this launch has been). Is that really so crazy/hard to understand?

If issues occur after launch, I can always return it to Amazon.

Agree with everything.

However people will only predict what they want to see happen, this goes for all sizes of TEH CONSOLE WARZ. This is spot on for me though.

MS had a delayed mind control mechanism in the 360 to keep the faithful from going astray, no matter how bad things got. That's the only logical explanation to me... XD

Exclusives, I guess. I think people are more loyal to games like Halo, Gears, Forza etc than the Xbox itself. Also... USA? I'm serious. I've actually heard some people here say that they would rather give their money to a local company!!!

Yup. Believe it or not that makes a lot of sense. And it's not necessarily a conscious decision. MS has been a big part of American tech for a long time. Sony has always been too but it feels foreign in a way. I feel like with some people here, Xbox is the only gaming console in existence

I pretty much accepted that the X1 would probably be 900p.
Still sucks too good thing i have an gaming rig for my multiplat gaming unless many of my friends will game on consoles.

One thing I don't understand is Forza 5 is 1080p which surprised the crap out of me being a launch title. A LAUNCH title. I fully did not expect a launch title to be 1080p. After developers get more familiar with the system, wouldn't the XBO be able to do 1080p more easily?

I honestly am not convinced either the PS4 and XBO is fully capable in providing full 1080p with eye candy resolutions based on the hardware but consoles are much different than PCs, so we shall see. And I know I sort of contradicted myself.

You had launch titles for the PS3 running at full 1080p. There is always a trade-off though, and if you spend your resources on getting a high resolution then you might not have enough left to do all the other cool things you want to do with the game. This hasn't changed and we might still get games running in 600p five years from now.
