Its still possible the PS+ version will release this year, isn't it supposed to be a "Prologue" type of affair and then the full game releases next year.

Lovely. I am already lamenting just how shitty these launch lineups are. And now this? They should have just shut their mouths and released on 2014. Maybe the PS4 would have software and maybe the Xbone wouldn't be 50% underpowered.

Also, if I understand correctly, they are free if you own them already on your PS3. I wouldn't mind to see if there's a visual upgrade for any of those games' PS4 versions.
Also, I'm surprised people aren't talking more about Contrast since it's a PS4 console exclusive and slated for release at launch.

Resistance 3 is up there with Bioshock as my favorite shooters. R1 and R2 are down there with Fuse as the worst games i have ever played.
Unfortunately Contrast does not count because it's on PC and doesn't come in a disc at a store for $60
I'm pretty sure those are the current goal posts for a launch game now in this thread, I'm not sure, it keeps changing.
I thought Contrast was on everything, imaginable.

With all the speculation that MS might have been targeting 2014 for launch until Sony, I would be surprised if Halo wasn't delayed until 2015.
Evolution has said the Plus Edition is the full game minus a couple of tracks and cars. You can Platinum the Plus Edition, so it sounds like it would be most of the full game.
I thought QB was episodic, like The Walking Dead releases

I completely agree with you. I think ultimately its a very very good thing. I don't want to shoot for the stars here but imagine we get a fully fleshed out racing game with 1080p visual at 60fps that at least sniffs at the target render we saw in February more than the current game does. That is only good news. Plus we don't have to worry about a gaming drought. There is still plenty coming out for the system leading up to Infamous and Drive Club but as a launch it definitely hurts the game.

Because it's not a PS4 console exclusive. The game is also coming out for the PS3 and the 360.
We saw the chaos over Watch Dogs bundles. They'll have a replacement Plus game, new date, and bundles sorted by the time they announce (I hope). Hence the delay.

As someone who really doesn't care about any of the console war stuff, if the compromise Sony comes up with is "Driveclub PS+ Edition is now a beta, full version released next spring," I would be fine with that. If the compromise is "Driveclub is delayed, have two copies of Resogun!," I'm not going to cancel my pre-order or anything but I'll be disappointed.
I think there's a sizable (though not huge) audience who were probably hoping to try out Driveclub via PS+ before actually buying the thing (and also waiting for pricing details on the PS+ upgrade) who will be caught out, in addition to the people who had actual Driveclub pre-orders. So yeah, from a more objective "gaming industry" perspective I don't think this is great news for Sony if it turns out to be true, even if it doesn't result in a wave of cancellations. I'm hoping it's not, obviously.

No, its episodic like Alan Wake where its just the way the story is told. All of the game and live action videos are on one thing not broken up like TWD.
If true that is too bad, I was looking forward to trying it out the PS+ version. New gens always suck me into a racing game. I love the look of them, but can never get into the gameplay, so free with PS+ was great for me, now I might get tempted by Forza.
Killzone is still going to scratch that launch itch for me on the PS4 side.
Overall I'm glad to hear about delays to get the games right versus just pushing out crap. I'd rather see that approach overall within game development.

Yes and No. I remember them confirming that you will get a whole season in one go. So it's broken into episodes in-game. But they give you one season at a time.

They aren't delaying it because it's not 60 fps. That would be idiotic to take such a huge monetary loss on that.
They are delaying it because it's not in passable form right now. If something isn't fit for a LAUNCH game, it must be in pretty bad shape.
Titanfall is also coming to 360/PC.

No, the game plays out like episodes. You finish a "level", then watch the live action episode after, then back to the game. You can also skip the live action episodes and watch them when you want.
Yeah, who knows about some of them. I would be surprised with QB, just because Remedy are relentless, but I think SO will make it.

My little bro is a huge open world GTA style type kid......I mean hes playing GTA Online right now has nearly 100% GTA V in itself......so when I showed him watch dogs earlier this year he was so fricken excited that he got a next gen GTA feel. I mean this is just to hold him over till a new GTA or RDR.
As for the two buddies of mine, they are not fans of Microsoft period, they own PC's and are big racing fanatics. Meaning DriveClub was there big launch game they were looking forward to since they actually liked the social aspect that the game was mixing with itself. They are avid GAF readers.....not members and saw famousmortimers post, which they know his REP pretty well and went into gamestop to cancel. My local GameStop is apparently already informing people to be ready if they cannot get driveclub day one because of the rumors. Since my buddies were on borderline to just waiting till the crew (which got delayed) this only further sank the deal.
But I could see with no explanation where you are coming from.
