Humble Store launch

Humble bundle has expanded into a complete storefront. 10 percent of purchases goes to charity, this is not a slider like their bundle deals. Opening day sale going on as well for what looks to be their complete store lineup for the moment.

https://www.humblebundle.com/store

There does not appear to be any standard for whether a game will be DRM free or be cross platform. Several of the games are windows & steam only, while others have DRM free versions, windows, mac, and linux support with steam keys as well. The money is split 10% to charity, 75% to the creators, and 15% as a Humble tip.

Daily Deals - Day 2

Guild Wars 2 - $29.99 - Windows, Mac - No Steam
FarCry 3 Blood Dragon - $4.99 - Windows, Steam
Planetary Annihilation Beta - $39.99 - Windows, Mac, Linux, Steam
Papers, Please - $5.99 - Windows, Mac, Steam, DRM Free
Dust: An Elysian Tail - $7.49 - Windows, Steam
Alan Wake Franchise - $5.99 - Windows, Steam, DRM Free
Antichamber - $5.99 - Windows, Steam
Blade Symphony Pre-order - $7.49 - Windows, Steam
Receiver - $1.99 - Windows, Mac, Linux, Steam, DRM Free

Pity about the charity limit. It seems highly unlikely that the majority of people would change the slider but for those of us who would like to it would be nice.

From a transparency POV it would be nice to see them disclose what portion of the price they take for themselves. For the bundles it is an optional 10%

What time is it?
Gunpoint and The Swapper are two of my favorite games this year. Buy them if you haven't already.

Chivalry is tempting.

That's actually... a pretty decent selection of games.

I see Prison Architect is $15 too, much closer to my biting price. Of course now, it seems like it's too close to the steam holiday sales. Then again, it's also 10% to charity....

Updated the OP with that info. Humble tip is set at 15%, devs get 75%, and 10% to charity.

Ah yes U see that if you click through that link at the top it discloses that. On the one hand that's a good deal for devs. On the other hand it's only 5% better than full service DD stores so I'm a little surprised. Maybe a lot of people use the store for downloading, not just external keys.

Would rather give 85% to developers and 15% to Humble. Charity is a disgusting thing. Naive people thinking their money is put to good use.

Nice! I'd rather see a 15% charity, 10% humble tip split (or at least a way to choose the split between tip and charity), but 10/15 is OK too, I suppose.

Aw don't leave us hanging, do go on.

I don't know about Child's Play, but American Red Cross? Big organizations like the Red Cross, Unicef and the like are horrible. From a business standpoint; it's brilliant.

- People give you money for no reason.
- Some of your workers even work for free.
- You can just collect the money.

Less than 10 or maybe even 5% of the money the Red Cross gets actually goes to what they say it does. The rest is paid out in salaries, a little bit of rent and TV advertisements.

If you want to feel good by giving away money, give it to some small charity or do research and see where it can actually be useful. Don't give away money to millionaires.

I remember reading before the store launch that sales from the Humble widget were split 95% to devs and 5% to Humble. I wonder if the reason we are not seeing all the games that were sold throught the widget on the new store is because of this change.

Rogue Legacy for $7.49 seems like a great price.

I've been trying to hold off on the PS4/PS3 versions. Any word on when those are releasing?

Or for those of us not in the US who would rather not donate to those charities or do not value what those charities are doing. It was always good to have the option for people.

Weird thing is that if you're using the Humble Store widget then Humble gets a MUCH less percentage, even with charity excluded.

Prison Architect at $15 is a great price. It may be in alpha but is pretty good already, and is added to pretty heavily on a monthly basis. I think $15 is the cheapest it's been so far (and probably the cheapest it'll be for a while).

I'm speechless.

How can you be so ridiculously gullible? You're linking to the official Red Cross website. Well what in the name of everything do you think they would say? I'm literally at a loss for words. Fuck humanity. People are so naive and gullible it hurts. You go to northkorea.com or whatever and it says "North Korea has the highest living standards on earth" and you're like: "everyone else must be full of crap". I mean yeah. Because they totally wouldn't say that.

Yeah buy The Swapper. One of the best indie games of 2013 nobody played.
I'm so tempted to buy this but I understand it's mouse and keyboard only at the moment although Xbox 360 controller support is supposedly coming.

Prison Architect will finally be mine! YES! Was really tempted at the weekend to buy it at full price but decided to wait for a sale, did not think one would come so quick.
